I groaned while burying my face into my books, It was 7 am in the morning and I haven't gotten an ounce of sleep. Now that I think about it, living alone is like hell because it has been two months since I moved to New York and I'm definitely not living my best life.

It looks really fun from outside when thinking about it but in reality the study pressure and the management of time between part time job and classes was not on my list.

"Anika? Here I made you coffee because you look...very much like a zombie" Said Ira while walking into my room and handing me the cup of coffee.

"You're a lifesaver. You're the only one who understands me" I said while lifting my head up and taking the cup of coffee from her hands.

"Oh Anika, My elder brother is going to come here today at evening. He said he just wanted to look around" Explained Ira while looking at him.

"Okay okay, Got it" I said while showing her a thumbs up then taking a few sips of the coffee.

"And you should stop overworking so much. I'll cook for you today and you're going to sleep early today too, I'll make sure of it" Said Ira with pure determination.

I could only nod my head in pure fear as she continued to scold me about my lack of care towards my health. Well well, now I feel at home.

"Bla bla bla bla! I understood everything my maa" I said sarcastically while folding my hands in a joking way.

Ira smiled abit before sitting on my bed then clearing her throat, looking like she wanted to tell me something.

"Look I can tell just by your eyes that you want to tell me something, so just spill it out" I said while looking at her in slight curiosity.

"Well...there's someone I have..a crush on" Confessed Ira while blushing abit.

My eyes widened at first before a mischievous expression painted across my face and I looked at her with a teasing smile.

"I know who it is~ It's that Nikhil number two. It's definitely him, isn't it?" I asked teasingly while immediately sitting next to her and bumping her shoulder with mine.

Ira looked flustered before nodding her head before I continued teasing her until she scolded me again and I made an excuse of getting fresh to get away from her scolding.

"Don't you think Ira has gotten more grumpier than usual?" Asked Nikhil while looking at me.

"Mhm? Really? To me she looks more happier ever since she moved in to that apartment" I said while looking at him with slight confusion.

"Tch, she's arguing alot with me nowadays. Always scolding me over little things and you know that I won't raise my voice at her no matter how much she scolds me" Said Nikhil after scoffing in annoyance.

I squinted my eyes at him, does this motherfucker like my sister? I would burn him alive if he did because he has seen her since she was a kid following me around.

"Do you like m─" Nikhil cut me off by immediately responding before I could finish my words.

"No no no never, Woah bhai I would never do something like that" Said Nikhil quickly while raising his arms up in the air.
