Hey guys!

I made this AU where Olive is a magic hero named The Star (or just Star), and Char(lotte) is a villain called Viva la Vida (or just Viva) who is also magic now. They both have pretty much every magical ability.

It takes place in modern times, but there's magic history and stuff and ya know, magic .✨

I will be posting new parts every week (hopefully). They will be kinda short, but I have other work to do still, so this can't be my priority.

Don't forget to comment and vote to show your support! I would appreciate it a ton.

Thanks and I hope you enjoy! <3

"It's the Star!" Someone cried out.

Dang it.

Well, her cover was blown.

She should've expected someone to recognize the hero of the city with a magic staff and a signature blue and white outfit walking through the streets.

"Can I get your autograph?" A young girl ran up to her with a pen and a poster of her in a battle position, the font thick and bright yellow.

She cringed. Why would anyone buy such a poorly designed poster?

Others were already starting to swarm around her, some with their phones out recording the moment.

The Star pulled her mask up higher over her mouth and nose and ducked her head down.

"Sorry darling, but I'm in a bit of a rush." She apologized to the girl.

She slammed her staff down and slowly started levitating. There was now a huge group clamoring around her.

She flew away with her staff quickly, until the mob was out of sight.

"That was close." she sighed, landing on the roof of a nearby building.

She was looking for someone. Someone dangerous. It was the only reason she bothered to walk around in uniform with so many people around.

"Where are you, Viva?" She muttered angrily. Viva was the bane of her existence, she showed up nearly every week just to cause some commotion Star had to fix. When she bothered to stick around long enough, she just made fun of her and messed with her head. If you could get graded at being a villain, Viva would most definitely be a F.

Today she stole some old artifact from the museum. And it was the magic witch's job to get it back. Does the police just sit around all day?

"Aww, miss me already, Starlight?" A teasing voice said behind her.

Star spun around in a defensive position. There was a villain dressed in a dark red suit and long black hair. With, of course, a black full face mask with a painted smile and red devil horns. Viva la Vida. This time she had a maroon gemstone necklace that seemed to glow faintly.

"Where's the Stone of Galena, Viva?"she demanded.

Viva laughed. "Wow, not even a hello? When'd you get so mean, Starlight?"

Again with that stupid nickname. Star hated it when she taunted her. "I don't need to be nice to you." Star gripped her staff tighter and they started circling each other. "I won't ask again. Where. Is. It."

Tilting her head, Viva gestured to her new necklace. "It's right here. Come and get it." The necklace shone brighter, and Star rushed forward, swinging her staff. Viva ducked away easily, but then she thrust her hands out towards Star.

A blast of dark magic hit the hero, knocking her down. That was unexpected. When did Viva get magic?

As she stood up, she noticed the glimmering Stone of Galena. It must be the source of her magic.

Star cast a simple spell. "Flowing water, rinsing waves." A huge wave of water appeared and crashed towards Viva, but she was faster.

The villain redirected the water, making the wave crash back towards the caster. Star evaporated it with a flick of the wrist, and flew up to Viva, shooting ice shards a sharp as knives and as long as her arm.

Viva summoned a barrier on top of her, blocking the ice, but her barrier was weak and some pierced through, getting stuck halfway. Viva thrust the barrier up, hitting Star and almost impaling her with her own ice shard.

The barrier dissolved, just for Star to dodge fireballs being thrown at her. She used her staff to block them, while trying to get close enough to Viva to grab the necklace.

"What is it, Starlight? Can't take it now that someone's on your level?" Viva taunted, a little out for breath.

Enraged, Star cast a spell that absorbed Viva's fireballs and changed them into a flamethrower-like beam with her staff.

When the flames ran out, Star saw that Viva survived by tearing a chunk off the roof and using it as a shield. The huge stone crashed to the ground just moments later, the person behind it tired and shaking.

Star saw how she couldn't fight anymore. Viva had no experience using magic. She was almost impressed the girl lasted this long. She must have done her studying beforehand.

"Give up. Give up now before I have to hurt you." Star stated firmly, floating back down in front of the villain.

Viva stood up shakily, her hand fisted around the pendant, it's dark red light shining through the cracks. Her outfit was ripped and scorched, and her mask was loose. Viva la Vida looked Star right in the eye, leaning forward slightly.

"Never." She whispered.

Viva conjured a cloud of smoke, and when Star sent it away with a gust of wind, she was already gone.
