Sorry for the wait, I was pretty busy for the past few weeks, but I hope to make up for it with a slightly longer chapter!

The resturant was busy, with customers talking and waiters and waitresses bustling around from table to table.

Olive looked up from her menu at the black-haired girl sitting across from her. "What are you going to get?" She asked.

Char looked up, resting her chin in her hand. "I was just about to ask you. I have no idea." She chuckled. "You would think that the best resturant in town would have some food that you actually want to eat."

She rolled her eyes, but before she could say anything, Char slammed her menu on the table and clutched her chest, as if in pain.

Olive sprung up and grabbed Charlotte's shoulders, thinking she was having a heart attack, but Char jerked back and stuck her hand out to stop her.

"I-I'm ok darling, don't worry." She tried to smile to show that she was ok, but she was still shaking, her breaths were ragged, and Olive could see the pain on her face plain as day. And she even noticed a hint of red in her eyes. Is that normal?

"You're obviously not. Do you need me to take you to the hospital?" Olive was so worried that she ignored Char's annoying joke of calling her darling. She tried to help her, but Char still refused.

"I'm ok, I promise. It's probably just... uh, cramps. Yeah, I have really bad cramps. I'm gonna go to the washroom." She said quickly, still clutching her chest.

These was no way Olive believed her, but she ran off before she could stop her. And although she was worried about her, Olive knew she should give her some space.

A couple minutes later though, there was a loud crash outside. There were some screams too, and Olive rushed out the door.

A huge 10 story tall shadow monster had appeared, with giant claws and thick red scales.

She hid behind a corner, checking that no one could see her, and transformed into her blue, purple and white Star suit, summoned her staff, and pulled up her mask.

She flew up to the shadow beast and tried to figure out what the heck it was, as she had never seen any magical beasts yet because they were all hunted and poached to extinction, but this didn't seem like a normal animal.

Its eyes glowed dark red, a similar shade to the Stone of Galena.

The thought struck her. Did Viva create this? She had no idea she had made so much progress in her magic spells already. Every magic amulet is different, but creating a giant beast like this would strain the magician immensely, and keeping control of it would be an entirely different problem.

The Star looked for some kind of weakness in the monster, and found that there was a faint pulsing light in its chest. That could be its heart, and therefore its energy source.

She flew around to its front, dodging its swinging claws and trying to get a good shot at its heart.

When she was in place, she aimed her staff and shot a blast of magic at it, hitting it square in the chest.

The beast let out a roar, but when the blast broke through the thick scales, it seemingly disintegrated into thin air. For such a huge magic beast, it didn't take much to defeat it. Star hadn't gone up against any beasts like this before, but it made sense that it would take a little more effort. It was almost like a shell. Viva must've not had a good hold on the monster, or she simply created it without any care for its condition and abilities.

A crowd had gathered beneath her, cheering for her. She gave them a shy wave and flew off to transform back.

Running back to the resturant, Char was already sitting and waiting for her at their table, much to her horror.

"Where have you been?" she smirked.

"I, uh... I forgot something in the car so I had to get it." She lied, smiling nervously. Then she remembered Charlotte's sudden 'cramp'. "And are you feeling better? I still think I should take you to the doctor. At least to get checked." She asked.

"No! I mean, no. I'm fine now. It happens, ya know?" Char reassured her. Olive still didn't believe her, but she did look better now. She leaned forward to check her eyes for that red glow she saw earlier, taking Charlotte's face in her hands to get a closer look.

No red in her eyes anymore. Maybe she just imagined it.

"Uhh... you could've just asked, darling." She smirked, raising an eyebrow.

Realizing what she was doing, Olive let her go and leaned back, blushing.

"Sorry. I was just... checking something." She didn't want to tell her that she about the red she saw in her eyes earlier. She knew Charlottle would just make fun of her.

"I told you I'm fine. Do you still wanna order something?" Char asked, picking up a menu.

The monster fight had tired Olive out, and she just wanted to go home and sleep. "No, I think I'm ok. I'm going to get home."

"Really? You didn't even eat dinner."

"I had a big lunch. I'm still full."

Char grabbed her bag and got up. "I'll drive you home then."

"Oh no, you don't have to do that."

But she just kept walking, so Olive had no choice but to let her give her a ride home. She rolled her eyes and followed her out of the resturant.
