"Yontari's daughter?"

He said, his voice a mixture of disbelief and surprise.

The metallic corridor echoed faintly with the sound of our footsteps as Txä'vo, Ey'ko, Tso'lek, and I stepped further into the unfamiliar place built under the rocks. Ey'ko and Tso'lek were visibly unsettled, their gazes darting around as they took in their surroundings. The walls, floors, and ceiling—made entirely of metal—gave off a dull, silvery sheen, worn with age but still holding an air of resilience. To them, this was a world completely alien, a stark contrast to the vibrant, living ecosystem of Pandora.

Ey'ko wrinkled his nose. "This place... it's unnatural," he muttered under his breath. "How can anyone live surrounded by this?"

Tso'lek, however, seemed more curious than repulsed. He ran a hand over the cold metallic surface of the wall and tapped it lightly with his knuckles. "It doesn't even feel alive," he said, his tone filled with quiet disbelief. "How did they build something like this? Where did they get the metal? Did they bring it all from the sky?"

"Can you stop touching it?" Ey'ko hissed, shooting him a glare. "It's probably poisonous."

"Poisonous?" Tso'lek scoffed, his curiosity unrelenting. "It's just metal. It's not like it's going to bite me."

"Enough," Txä'vo interrupted, his tone firm but not unkind. "You're both acting like children. Focus."

I stayed silent, my eyes sweeping the room. Memories tugged at the edges of my mind, the last time me and Txä'vo had been here flashing vividly before me. I could still see the stern and maddened faces of my parents when they caught me and Txä'vo sneaking into this forbidden place. Back then, it was pristine—shiny and sterile. Now, while still clean, the walls bore scratches and patches of rust, signs of time's passage.

The gaze of Ey'ko and Tso'lek fell on something. Weapons hung on one wall. They were clearly old, untouched for years, but the sight of them was enough to make the two warriors uneasy.

The man they had come to meet walked toward them with a measured pace. His face was serious, but there was a warmth in his expression that softened his sharp features. He observed them silently for a moment before speaking.

"New for you, isn't it?" he asked, his voice carrying a tone of amusement as his gaze flickered to Ey'ko and Tso'lek. They straightened their backs at his words, glancing at each other nervously.

"We—uh," Ey'ko began, clearly uncomfortable, "it's just... strange."

"Weird," Tso'lek added, his eyes darting around. "Strange and weird."

The man chuckled softly. "I can see why you'd think that. In contrast to Pandora, this place must feel cold and lifeless—an insult to nature. Believe me, I'd be disgusted too if I were in your place."
