My Destined Mate

CHAPTER 19- ONE DOWN

As the trio stepped out of their apartment, a wave of apprehension washed over both Khaotung and Earth.  The weight of their earlier confrontation pressing against their chests. But they were greeted by a rather shocking scene.
“What the!!!”
At the corridor they saw Aou standing there while scratching his head but what surprised them was he was only wearing his boxer well you can't count the cat ears on his head as a piece of clothing. “Have you gone crazy?” Earth asked, it was hilarious but no one was in the mood for a joke. “What am I supposed to do? Your precious little brother stormed in out of nowhere my poor boyfriend! ” Aou said.

“Wait First is there? What are you doing here? Let's go in” Khaotung said and before even finishing his sentence he tried to open the door but got disappointed as the door was locked from inside. “If it was open I wouldn't be standing here in my boxers. And I'm here because teerak threw me out because of your boyfriend!”
Mix, as the only adult with a sound mind decided to step in, he knocked on the door “First…it's P’Mix can you talk to me. We are worried”.

“please firr firr let us in!” Khaotung urged, his heart racing at the thought of First being hurt, emotionally or physically.

Boom opened the door just a little and let Mix and gave Aou his clothes, and informed the others that First is not ready to talk to them. As Mix entered the sight that greeted him was both unexpected and heart-wrenching. First was curled up in a ball on the couch, tears streaming down his cheeks, while Boom stood awkwardly nearby, unsure of how to comfort him without overstepping.

“First!” Earth shouted, from outside. “I’m so sorry! We didn’t mean for you to feel—”

“Just… just stop!” First cried, cutting him off. His shoulders shook as he tried to collect himself. “You both think you know me the best but in reality you have no idea what I feel and want. You guys are on a rise to prove yourself in front of others that you forgot about me. Why is it so hard for you two to understand that I love both of you,the love may be different but you both are important. And Mr.Thanawat Rattanakitpaisan I am in love with who you are. Why are you trying desperately to fit in with my brother's criteria? Now both of you do me a favor and leave me for once”

“Please, First!” Khaotung interjected, stepping closer to the door, feeling the need to bridge the chasm of hurt that lay between them. “Just listen. We care about you more than you know. We didn’t mean for any of this to happen. We thought we were doing what is best for you! And I know we hurt you in the process”

First didn't say anything else. After some time Aou went to their apartment but Earth and Khaotung didn't move.
Boom shifted uncomfortably,“You what are you planning to do now?”

Mix, stepping back, gave them space while keeping an eye on First, who was now fidgeting with a pillow, absently wiping his tears. First looked up, still hurt but his glare softened slightly. “ I know they love me but they are in a competition to prove their love is greater than the others. Stupid alphas they hurt me so now it's their turn”

Mix felt proud of First for standing his ground, but knew he had to step in before this spiraled further. “Listen, First. You’re stronger than either of them give you credit for. Whatever happens between you and them is between you three. But know this: what you want matters.”

“Exactly,” Boom added, stepping forward. “You deserve to have your feelings validated. You’ve made it clear how much you want to be with Khaotung. Don’t let the fear of others dictate what you should feel. You’re not a child anymore; it’s time for you to express that with them.”

First took a deep breath, the tension in his shoulders easing slightly. “I do want to be with you, Khao,” he said, his voice now steadier. “I just can’t keep pretending everything is fine when it’s not.”

“I know how unreasonable they can be when it's about you. But they need to learn to accept each other. I Am with you in this” Mix assured.
“And I’ll be here to support you too. I want what’s best for you, even if it means being a part of your crazy ideas. You’re my best friend after all.”

“Thank you, guys” First whispered, the broken pieces of his heart slowly stitching back together. With the atmosphere still charged with emotion, First could feel a newfound determination swell within him.

Next day morning when Boom slammed the door behind him Khaotung and Earth woke up to reality. They were still in the corridor but as time passed at some point they just dozed off. “Where is first?” Both had the same question. “Well he is not here but I have a question for you guys from him” Both alphas were curious to hear Mix. “ Do you realize you guys hurt him?” Both nodded yes. “Good he said he can only forgive one…” Before Mix could finish both jumped at him. “Why? Where is he? First? Firr firr?”

Mix gently hit both alphas' heads and said “oh! Why aren't you confident in yourself? Anyways he said he will forget the one who loves him most” Before they could argue Mix added “he said you have to prove your love. He left early in the morning so you just have to find him. Who gets to him first is the one who will be forgiven.” “That's really childish” Earth said “but you said he is still a kid. When they realised talking to Boom and Mix was of no use they left to find First.

Although they left secretly they would bump into each other often as they went to the same places, All of those were First's favorite spots. The only time they didn't bump into each other was when they went to places that mattered for them. It was already evening. Both had no idea where First was. Both were tired and restless. When Khaotung walked out of university all disappointed he found Earth sitting on a bench in front of university. Khaotung went close to him and sat there. “I am worried” Earth said and turned his head to look at Khaotung but he was shocked at what he saw. Khaotung sat there, his head down, tears flowing down. For a second Earth didn't know what to do, then he  did what he did with First, he slowly closed their gap and gently patted Khaotung's shoulders. No words needed, he was reassuring Khaotung that he was there for him, that they would find First. And Khaotung was thinking how every time he went to someplace he encountered Earth who reached there way ahead of him.

That's when someone offered them water bottles with two extended hands. They lifted their heads to see who that was. “First!!!” both said in union. “Now that you have become friends I can do a favor and forgive you both.” He said with a smile. That's when Mix, Boom and Aou also joined them. First actually never left in the morning instead these four were following Khaotung and Earth all the time.

Laughter broke the tension as they all exchanged smiles, grateful for the chaos that led them to this moment of reconciliation. First felt lighter, stronger, and ready to face whatever came next with his alpha and brother by his side. After all, love isn’t always perfect, but it’s worth fighting for.

As the evening wore on, they settled into a discussion, not just of feelings, but of dreams, hopes, and future plans. They would face this journey together, with openness and understanding, shattering barriers and growing together as they deserved, forging bonds they’d never thought possible.
