"Pain and suffering are always inevitable for a large intelligence and a deep heart. The really great men must, I think, have great sadness on earth"
Fyodor Dostoevsky

Ever since I was a small child, I've learned to trust my gut feeling. It's always been like quiet alarms, sounding off just before something bad happens. These feelings have become a kind of dark premonition I can't ignore.

The first time it happened, I was so little, held in the shadows of a room that was my personal prison. Minutes before he appeared, my gut twisted with a sense of impending doom. The man I knew only as mister walked in, his eyes colder than the winter wind outside.

Years later, the same sensation returned right before the colossal titan breached wall maria.

Now, as I stand alone in my room, gearing up for the expedition, that familiar gut feeling creeps in again. I tighten the straps of my uniform and adjust my gear, trying to shake off the feelings of dread. The mirror shows a soldier ready to fight, but inside, my instincts scream that today could be disastrous.

As I begin to braid my hair, focusing on the rhythm of crossing one strand over another, there's a soft knock at the door. Startled, my hands pause midway, but I quickly call out, "Come in!"

The door opens gently, and Petra peeks her head through with a warm smile. "Hey, are you ready?" she asks, stepping into the room.

I return her smile, albeit a bit sheepishly. "Almost." I reply, gesturing to the half done braid. petra chuckles and walks over, her hands already reaching for my hair. "Here, let me help you with that."

Grateful, I hand over the reins and feel the gentle tug as she continues the braid with practiced ease. "Thanks, Petra," I say.

She secures the braid with a small band and steps back, smiling. "There, all done. You look amazing."

I stand up, turning to face her. The reflection in the mirror now shows two soldiers, ready for whatever lies ahead.

The bell rings, signaling the readiness of the Scouts. levi leads the formation of our squad at the front, directly behind him, eren and I are side by side, To my left, Oluo mimics levi's stern posture, while petra positions herself on eren's right.

Behind us, gunther and eld hold their places, eyes forward, ready. The rest of the Scouts align in a disciplined array, each scout's gaze fixed ahead, reflecting a unified resolve and readiness.
