i finally found the guy with the clipboard after what seemed like hours of searching and roaming the concrete walls, most of the day ive just been trying to kill time today has really dragged out but the awards start soon so that will give me something to do however im so tired so im basically relying on coffee and energy drinks to keep me awake. my phone buzzes and to no surprise its darcy: 'make sure youre on the stage for 8:20 for final checks on where everyone's place and job is!!:) - darcy x'
shit, im going to be late. i run around the venue looking for the entrance to the stage then i suddenly find a door with the word 'STAGE' written on it, i walk in and join the crowd.
"okay everyone, you guys are in charge of making sure everyone is where they need to be at certain times, some of you may be leading the artists to the stage and checking everyone get the awards and stuff like that" a bald man shouts to a crowd of excited teens about the same age as me.
"oh my god stacey do you think we will meet 5 seconds of summer?" one girl says to another
5 seconds of summer? who are they? i think to myself
"i dont know" said the girl with short brown hair who i presume is called stacey replied "i really hope so though" they both excitedly squealed and jumped up and down.
time passes as the bald man talks about safety procedures and how we need to 'act calm' in front of the celebrities, then he starts to call out our names with our jobs
"tiffany and lucy you will be back stage showing the artists back to their designated seats, stacey and jeremy you will be at the right side of the stage leading the winners up to collect their award, jack and yasmine you'll be doing the same and finally addilyn youll be on the carpet checking everyone has arrived. is everyone clear on their job?"
"yes" everyone says in sync
"good well everyone get into place ready people will be arriving in an hour" the man says as he smiled to the crowd of giddy teens, i guess i would be excited too if i kept up with the latest bands and music.
