💋Draculaura💋

I heard the door break before anything else. And soon after, his thick-accented, deep voice echoed through the hall. "Draculaura!?"

I stood up, despite how much it hurt my ankle. "Daddy!" I shouted. He rushed into the cafeteria and scooped me up in a hug. I was devastated about everything that had happened, but being in my father's arms seemed to help me feel some sense of joy.

"You're okay? Are you hurt?" he asked.

I shook my head and buried my face in the crook of his neck. "I'm fine. I'm fine."

His nose was buried in my hair when he inhaled deeply. "I've been so worried," he whispered.

"I know. Me, too," I whispered back. His arms tightened around me as I wrapped my legs around his waist. "Fourteen," I said.

"Fourteen," he repeated. "Who did it?" he asked.

"Purrsephone," I said quietly.

"And the spell caster?" he asked.

"I don't know. We didn't get that far."

"I'm going to set you down." I nodded. He placed me in Clawd's arms before locking his own hands behind his back. And then he paced the room. "We have two options. Our spell caster comes forward right now. Your punishment will be less severe. Or we bring in my spell caster and she can sniff you out. Your punishment will be just as bad as Purrsephone's," he said.

He waited almost a minute before he stopped pacing. "No one? Interesting." He let out a low hum as he walked out of the cafeteria. Several seconds later, he was back. "This is my spell caster. Mrs. Carlson. Good luck," he whispered.

"In one week's time, Miss Purrsephone and Mr. G. Reaper will be hanged at town square for the crimes they committed at the high school. Murderers, as well as accomplices to murderers, will not be spared. They will be given no mercy," my father said as he stood in front of City Hall. "Do we have any problems with this?" he asked.

Clawd wrapped his arm around me to hold me close to him. "I can't believe a guidance counselor would help a student kill teachers and other students," he whispered.

I swallowed.  "I know." I wrapped my arms around him. "What goes through someone's mind to make them do it?" I asked.

"Sweetheart, if only I knew," he said quietly. "But, it's soon to be over."
