A Hopeless Romantic

We arrived at Aaron's house around 10 that night.

"I love you Aaron. See you tomorrow." I'm about to leave, until I feel a cold hand grip my wrist.

"Please don't leave, princess." Aaron says, pouting his lip.

"Okay" I reluctantly replied back.

We ran to Aaron's room, closing the door behind us. He pushed me up against the wall, kissing me with force.

I kiss back, trying to outdo his force.

It was like a competition.

In the end, I gave up, losing the battle. My lungs were gasping for air.

Aaron soon noticed, pulling himself off of me. "I'm sorry. I got carried away."

"No, I'm sorry. It felt more like a competition." I say, smirking. "And it looks like you won."

Aaron laughs. "That's what I was going for."

He leans in again, as do I. This time, the kiss was passionate and soft. Romantic, if you will.

I feel Aaron smiling against the kiss. When we pull away, I ask him a question that's been bugging me.

"Aaron, why do you love me?"

He smiles at me. "I could go on and on forever. How much do you need to hear?"

"Enough until I smile."

"Okay. Well to start off with, you are a beautiful girl. I don't know if you have noticed, but almost everywhere we go, guys are checking you out. And to be completely honest, I get jealous sometimes."

I'm already smiling at Aaron's words.

"And you're also an amazing person. You are nice, loving, and an overall great person. Sometimes, I think, 'man, how did I manage to get such a beautiful, amazing girl to date me?'" He stays silent for a second, then says his last few words. "And now that I have a perfect girl like you, I can truly say these words with meaning. Savannah... I love you."

Slowly, I get up from my seat on the bed, then pull Aaron in for yet another kiss.

Sparks are everywhere. Love.

If you had asked me a month ago, I would have told you it is a misconception. People don't find true love. True love was a thing of fiction and fantasies.

But now that I have Aaron, things have changed.

He saved me.
