<savannah's POV>
Ever since Aaron and I got back together, Steven has been acting strange.
Yesterday, I asked him if he wanted to go chill at the skatepark, since he was my friend and I needed something to do.
Of course, he replied yes, but when we got to the park, nothing felt the same.
It started when I first saw him.
Usually, I'd greet him with a handshake or something, but I decided to go in for a hug. As expected, it was awkward. Big deal. Everyone has awkward hugs.
But then our conversations were all over the place. As soon as I would mention Aaron or a guy, Steven would immediately change the subject.
I let out a sigh, then took a seat on my board. I pulled out my phone, then decided to text Jackie.
whats up with ur brother
Almost immediately, she texts back.
don't know. something about you and him hanging out yesterday.
My mind quickly comes to a realization, my heart beating faster. Is it possible that, all this time, Steven loved me?
I take in a deep breath, seating myself in front of Steven. I couldn't hold it in any longer. "Steven? Can I tell you something?"
He nods his head, looking anywhere but me. I can tell somethings bothering him.
"Steven, I..." I trail off, my anxiousness getting the best of me.
"I really like you." I quickly spit out my words, my cheeks flushing with red. My gaze falls down to my lap, where my hands are folded. It takes me a while to regain my confidence, but when I look back up, Steven is staring straight at me, his mouth agape in shock.
"Did... Did you really say that?"
