"Let's go inside. It's getting late."

The sky was turning a dark purple, stars sparkling in the distance.

"Okay."

We head inside, then were greeted by his mom.

"Steven! Limpia tu habitacíon! Quién es este?" She asks, looking directly at me.

"Se llama Savannah. Ella es una amiga."

His sister, Jackie, walks in at that exact moment, giving me a quick scan. "Whose this?"

"Savannah. She's just a friend."

Jackie raises an eyebrow, probably debating whether he's being honest or not. "Okay..." She walks away, going back to her room.

"You can go to my room. I'll get us some snacks." He points to a room next to Jackie's, then leaves to get some food.

I enter his room, observing everything.

His room was pretty plain, decorated with old decks and posters.

I take a seat on the bed, scrolling through my social medias.

"Savannah, you wanna watch tv?"

"Do you have Netflix?"

"Mhm."

"Then let's watch something on there."

Steven turns on Netflix, handing the remote. "Choose something."

I scroll through the categories, looking for something to watch. "How about SpongeBob?"

"Sure." Steven says, looking down at his phone.

The episode starts playing, leaving me to watch it.

When I look back though, Steven is paying no attention to the TV, rather his phone.

"What you doin?" I ask, curious.

"Nothing." He continues tapping the screen, going back to whatever it was he was doing.

I grab my phone to see that it's 6 am. If I don't get back home soon, my mom will know I'm gone.

"I'm gonna go Steven. It was nice to hang out with you."

He waved his hand in the general direction of me, not looking up.

I head out to the door, then get stopped by Jackie.

"Where are you going?"

"Home?"

"You wanna hang out later?"

"Um, sure."

"Can I get your number?"

I hand her my phone, waiting for her to type in hers.

She messages herself, receiving the text in an instant. "Thanks!"

I grab my board, then start walking back to my house. Moments later, a hand grips my wrist, catching me off guard. "Bruh, what the fu-" My voice trails off as I see the face of the person who stopped me. "Wh-what are y-you doing?"

Before I know it, he pulls me in for a kiss, smashing his lips into mine. "I-i'm sorry." He runs off, jumping on his board when he gets to the street.

All I can think about is his lips on mine. His touch. What I longed for, needed.

"Aaron?" I meerly whispered.
