"What are you going to do without him?"

Silence fills the room. What am I going to do without him?

"I don't know. His message has me confused though..."

"Did you ever text him back?" My friend, Jenny, asks.

"No. Figured it wasn't meant to be sent or something."

"You're fucking kidding me, right? Tell me you texted him back."

"No." I mumble. "I haven't texted him back."

She walks out of the room, closing the door behind her.

I rest my head in my hands, my head spinning.

This can't be happening.

"Give me your phone." Jenny says, walking back into my room with some snacks.

"Here." I say.

"Do you love him? I mean, like, do you mean it when you say it?"

"Yeah..."

"Okay." She starts typing something on my phone, probably a message or something.

"Please don't tell me your texting him."

"Sorry. Already sent."

I hear the familiar 'sent message' tone. "You little piece of shit."

Jenny hands me the phone, a smile on her face. "Love you too."

On the screen, the message is typed, words that are of another and not my own.

I love you too. Wish u were here ❤️.

Just as I'm about to exit the messages, the familiar three dots appear, a signal that Aaron is texting back.

"Holy shit."

"What? Savannah, what is it?"

She comes running over to me, snatching the phone from my hands.

"Hey!"

Instead of handing it back, she waits for the message.

"Oh my god, oh my god! Savannah, you have to read this!"

"Well, I was going to, until you so kindly took my phone away from me."

Jenny rolls her eyes, throwing the phone to me.

Baby girl, I want you here with me rn. I hate the distance between us.

"So tell me, Savannah. How is long distance?"

Steven's POV

I continued texting on my phone, far after Savannah had left.

Steven:
How the hell do I tell her tho

Aramis:
That's ur job u lil bitch

Steven:
What if she's still wit Aaron

Aramis:
Shut ur little bitch ass up and go tell her

"Jackie!"

Jackie walks into my room, giving me a disgusted look. "What do you want?" She says, sounding annoyed.

"Where did Savannah go?"

Instead of answering me, she rolls her eyes.

"Tell me where she is Jackie!"

"Why do you care? You're the one who pushed her away."

I think back to earlier today, then remember not talking or looking up at her. "Oh."

Jackie leaves, going back to whatever the hell she was doing.

Steven:
U busy Savannah?

Savannah:
Nah.

Steven:
Wanna hang out

Savannah:
No I'm good.

My mind went blank. My heart felt like it broke in two.

Now she's pushing me away.

Savannah's POV

Savannah:
I hate the distance too :(

Aaron:
FaceTime me rn

I close my messages, then click onto FaceTime.

A couple rings later, Aaron's face pops onto my phones screen.

"Baby, I miss you." Aaron says, biting his lip.

"I miss you too babe."

We continued talking for hours until he had to go.

"Baby, don't leave me." I say, frowning.

"I don't want to but my moms finna take my phone away if I don't." He says, frowning also.

"I love you. Good night." I picked my lips, almost as if to kiss him.

"Love you too. Night baby girl."

We hang up, leaving it on that note.

Before I go to sleep, I post a screenshot to Instagram of Aaron smiling and me off the screen.

Long distance sucks, but if it means being wit u...💕
