(Author's POV)

Lisa and ZigZag walked nervously to their tent, and, to no surprise to either of them, Zero was laying on his cot, staring blankly at the ceiling. Lisa signaled to Zig to wait outside, and hesitantly shuffled to Zero's cot. After sitting beside his legs, she greeted him. "Hi, darlin'. How's your rest going?"

Zero looked at her with little emotion at all, "I don't think I'm ready for a relationship. I prefer solitude. It's just too hard to need to care for another person when I can barely keep myself happy."

This hit Lisa like a tsunami of sadness, but she did not cry or frown, "O-Okay. I understand." She stood up and walked just outside the tent, looked back at Zero, giving him a forced, sad smile. ZigZag saw the sadness on her face as she walked towards him, collapsing heavily into his chest and letting loose a wave of tears. "What kind of sick person treats someone like royalty one day and then destroys their heart the next?" Lisa hugged Zig almost painfully tight.

"The kind of sick person not worth your time." He replied sympathetically. "Let's go to the Rec Hall and try and move on, okay?" He held her face and wiped away the tears from her cheeks.

She calmed herself, and smiled at ZigZag, "Only if you promise to defend me from those mean A Tent boys, and hold my hand." He simply had to oblige, and he knew that Lisa needed someone to be there.
