Chapter 10

"Although we may struggle to understand ourselves fully, we can take comfort in the knowledge that there is always someone out there who will understand us deeply and completely."

"Do you all understand?" My tone was firm and demanding, Not taking a 'no' as an answer "Certainly sir." their voices lowered but tinged with fear and respect.

It was a sound I had become accustomed to, a reaffirmation of my authority and ownership over everything within the company, Something I know is mine. A place where no hands can grasp, An Empire I ruled and perfectly ruled.

"The Meeting is dismissed," I said coldly & stood up from my seat, smoothing out the creases in my suit while walking out of the meeting room. And as things were going well, my phone rang, It was a sudden call from my Aid Umeko. I answered but I heard her panting as if she had been running

"Sir... Miss Viella has gone missing," she panted. "Alexandra found out about her condition."

I felt a chill run down my spine and I stopped in my tracks. I issued orders in a swift, without thinking of the possible consequences "Send out a helicopter to search for Viella starling immediately." My footsteps echoed loudly against the tiled floor as I moved towards the path that leads to the parking lot of the company building, my heart racing with a sense of urgency.

My mind was racing, imagining the worst possible scenarios. Viella...where could she have gone? What would happen if we didn't find her in time?

When I saw my luxurious black car, I stepped inside and drove it in a rush. Because there was another person other than me who knew Viella's Tumor, A person who could say those simple words in exchange for money, not knowing what danger he might cause to that person.

I parked my car at the hospital's parking lot and rushed inside. I was assaulted by the familiar sight and scent of the sterile surroundings. The white walls, the constant hum of medical equipment, the scent of antiseptic - it was a scene I had seen far too many times. There was no difference since my last visit, it was all still eerily the same - as if time stood still in this place, trapped in an endless blue atmosphere.

Respectfully, I knocked first before barging inside Dr.Liam's office "Good morning Doc, I'm just here to ask where is Alexandra Rosenthal?" He looked up at me, unfazed by my serious gaze. He was sitting in his chair doing some paperwork before responding, it was as if it was normal for someone to barge inside his office

"I'm afraid that I'm unfamiliar with that name" He responded in a casual tone.

I walked towards him before I slammed my palms down against the smooth surface, the sudden impact making the pens and papers on the desk rattle. I leaned in, my eyes locking with his.

"There is no one else who knew about Viella's tumor other than me," I hissed, my voice low and menacing. "I don't have time for your games. I need to find Viella, and you will tell me where Alexandra has gone. If you don't want to end up behind bars for giving your patient medicine without a label, you'd better start talking. Now. Liam Rosenthal."

I clenched my jaw, my patience wearing thin. The man's unfazed calmness was getting under my skin. I couldn't stand the way he regarded me with that steady gaze, his lack of concern making me feel as if I was overreacting. He released a frustrated sigh before talking.

"She took your precious Viella to our manor in the forest, I'm sure you are familiar with that place since you have been there," he placed his pen down before taking something out of his drawer
