"WE'RE BACK..." ASHLYN announced, her voice breaking the tense silence as she opened the door. Kaia pushed the wheelchair into the room, Aiden seated comfortably in it despite his earlier insistence that he could walk the rest of the way. Logan followed closely behind, his eyes scanning the room for any immediate threats or changes. Aiden, true to his word, had eventually stood and walked, but only after relentless persuasion and the promise to sit down if he felt unsteady.

Kaia's eyes quickly swept over the room, taking in the details. The first thing she noticed was Tyler, who had been moved to the bed. He looked better than he did when she left off to find Aiden, so that was a start.  The bed was still stained with his old blood, and Ben appeared to have rewrapped Tyler's bandages; though the blood was still seeping through, it wasn't as dark or as heavy as it had been when she had left with the others to find Aiden.

Tyler's condition was slightly improved, but the sight was still grim. The faint sound of labored breathing filled the room and she could see the exhaustion that clung to his features, though she saw it in all of them. He was easily the worst off out of all of them, even as Kaia was in pain with every step she took, every little movement, he was the one on the verge of bleeding out. Her injuries were insignificant in comparison in her mind.
