╰┈➤ ❝ [ʳᵉᵘⁱⁿᵒⁿ] ❞KAIA GROANED AS she was forcefully awoken in the Phantom Realm. Her body ached, and her head pounded as she lay sprawled across her bed. The blanket was wrapped around her figure in a desperate attempt to use it as a makeshift bandage. She hardly had the strength to get herself to the bathroom to find real ones. She huffed as she glanced around the room, her eyes fluttering slightly as she attempted to shift more towards the edge of the bed. Maybe if she could just roll herself off of it, she would finally get the strength to get herself to the bathroom, where she knew she had bandages waiting for her. She had requested some from Irene.
It had been about three days since they had arrived at this facility and two since she had seen Ashlyn or had even been let out of her room since the last incident. Kaia was very quickly growing tired of this room and her lack of being able to move around as she pleased with her injuries. The walls seemed to close in on her, the space now feeling like a prison, though then again it always had. She longed for the freedom to move, to stretch her limbs, and to feel the cool air on her skin. The isolation was wearing on her, and the constant pain was a relentless reminder of her current state.
The most intriguing aspect of Kaia's daily routine has been her rigorous workout sessions and the blood samples that Irene insists on taking every single day, along with her seemingly pointless daily check-ups. Since Kaia's unsettling encounter with Ashlyn, Irene has become increasingly insistent, persistently questioning Kaia about her hallucinations, other symptoms, and her mental state. Kaia hasn't faced this many inquiries about her mental well-being since that one visit to the therapist when she was just seven years old. Despite the barrage of questions, Kaia remains tight-lipped, refusing to divulge any information. She harbors a deep mistrust towards Irene, sensing that something is off about her, though she can't quite put her finger on what it is.
