"That if we can figure out how to control it, then we can mess with their systems like what happened with Ashlyn earlier."
Kaia's lips purse and she could feel someone join her side, their hand slipping into her own and her eyes flickered to find Aiden's eyes on her, a concerned look in them and she resists the urge to pull back. She allowed herself to relax into his touch, squeezing his hand back as guilt ate at her for how she spoke to them earlier but he didn't seem to mind, lighting up when she didn't push him away.
"But it's wasn't just Ashlyn, all of the cameras in our rooms blacked out expect Ashlyn's since she was in that other room." Ben's text to speech continued and Kaia hummed lowly to herself, not having known that it was just the cameras to their rooms that went fully blacked out, she thought all of them did, but knowing it was just theirs unnerved her a bit. "The only reason our lights didn't stay off was because there was a backup generator for them, but it takes a bit for the camera system to reboot. At least, that's how he explained it."
