Hello! Read on!! ^.^
"Kids! Are you all ready? We have to leave soon or we will miss the train!" Said Mum frantically as she zipped up her coat.
"Calm down, we'll be fine. We have plenty of time." said Fred, dragging his trunk out the door and past the frozen flutterby bushes.
"No need to get into a huff." added George, following Fred with his own trunk.
"MUM!" Ron yelled. "Mum, I've lost Scabbers!"
"Oh, for goodness sake, Ron!" I heard Mum scold him. I pushed past them with my trunk and Swift's cage and out the door towards the ancient Ford Anglia, which already had Percy, Fred, George and Ron's trunks stuffed into the boot. I slid mine in among them and put Swift's cage in the back seat. By that time, Ron had finally managed to locate Scabbers and we all jumbled into the car, with Mum, Ginny and I in the front and the boys in the back.

We arrived at the snow-capped Kings Cross station at quarter to eleven. After slipping through the barrier to platform 9 3/4, we heaved our trunks onto the Hogwarts express. Fred, George and Percy gave us a parting wave after hugging mum goodbye.
"See you guys at school." George said to us. Then he and Fred headed over to Lee Jordan, who was waiting for them by one of the carriages. Percy also nodded and walked over to a pretty Ravenclaw girl, who also had a prefects badge like Percy's, only blue and a silver P.
"Should we find a compartment, then?" suggested Ron, after we had said farewell to mum and hopped on the train with our luggage.
"Okay." I said, and we headed off together, eventually finding a compartment which had Seamus Finnigan, Dean Thomas, Lavender Brown, Parvati Patil, her sister Padma and Max Knight seated inside. Max caught my eye and grinned. Beside me, Ron raised his eyebrows and his ears turned slightly pink. We slid our trunks into the shelves above the seats and i took the empty seat beside Max while Ron sat opposite me beside Padma, who immediately looked uncomfortable and shuffled away.
"So, how was your holiday?" said Dean, trying to start a conversation.
"Alright." I replied.
"Mine was pretty cool." said Seamus, leaning over Parvati to join the talking. "Me mam took me to the Chudley Cannons game."
Ron gasped. "You did?" he said, his voice bursting with jealousy. "Who against?"
"Wimbourne Wasps. Absolutely slaughtered the Cannons." Seamus said. Ron groaned.
"Well, what did you expect Ron?" said Lavender. "Didn't you hear that the Wasps beat the Kenmare Kestrels 350 to 70? And won against the Ballycastle Bats and the Caerphilly Catapults."
"But the Tornado's beat the Wasps, remember?" Cut in Max.
The talk of Quidditch carried on until we were about half an hour from school, and the sun had just dipped below the icy horizon. When we eventually got off the train, a bitter wind was howling and blowing sleet into our faces.
"If this carries on, we're gonna be icicles in seconds!" yelled Max through the wind, which was so strong everybody who was on the train were leaning at a 45 degree angle.
"Ruby!" I heard a voice yell. I saw a great big mass making our way. It was Hagrid. "Did ya know, we are gonna 'ave to cross the lake in this. Can ye believe it?"
"No way, Hagrid, we'll drown! shouted Ron, his hair plastered to his face. But Hagrid shook his head.
"Dumbledore's orders. Come this way." He shook his shaggy head and trudged off, and we followed, our robes billowing in the gale.
"'op in a boat. Be careful for those waves." Hagrid said as they reached the edge of the lake, which was raging around like a herd of distressed bulls, the boats sitting timidly on top of the churning water.
"Are you absolutely certain its safe?" squeaked Lavender, who had turned a peculiar shade of green when she saw the rocking boats.
"I think so." said Hagrid as he got into his own boat. Lavender didn't look to reassured. I got into a boat with Ron and Max and the little fleet set off, rolling on the rough waves. After a couple of minutes, we turned a corner and caught a fleeting glimpse of the castle, before we were surrounded by complete darkness.
"Whats happening?" Ron asked.
I shook my head as I held on tight to the edge of the boat, which began to rock even more violently than before. I looked over the edge, but i could only see black.
"I can't see Hagrid!" yelled Max, squinting at the nonexistent horizon. Then suddenly, the darkness lifted, and black shapes were swirling around our boat, and that's when we heard Hagrid's booming voice.
"DEATH EATERS!" Hagrid whipped out a pink umbrella and blast a curse at one of the swirling black shapes. It fell out of the air and I saw it was actually a person. I heard someone else yell.
"Grab her!" i heard someone else yell, and to my horror, they zoomed towards our boat, and it lifted up into the air. I heard Ron yell beside me, and Max looked like he was going to throw up. That was the last thing I saw before I felt all my sides being compressed as we became part of the darkness and i passed out.

"Ruby."
I tried to lift my head, which felt as heavy as a sack of bricks. Did someone whisper my name?
"Ruby."
I pushed myself up, ignoring my throbbing head and looked straight ahead. Max's face was peering through metal bars. I gasped.
"Max! What happened? Where are we?"
"I dunno. Its in some kind of basement. We saw a huge spider in the corner. Thats when Ron stopped talking..." He pointed to the other side of the cell that he was in, where Ron was crouched, his eyes sealed tightly shut.
"Ron." I whispered, but then a door banged open and my speech was cut off by a mans grainy voice.
"She's awake."
