I wake up to the sound of a hooting owl. I open my eyes to see that its still dark, but dawn is on its way. Perfect waking time. I climb down from my tree and check my traps. A rabbit struggles in the second one. I put it out of its misery and slap it on the coals of the fire that are still warm from last night. By the time the sun is peeking over the horizon, the rabbit is cooked and I make the most of it while bathing is the sunrise glow.
All is peaceful until I hear a tig crack on the ground. I spin my head around to see who is there. An old decrepit man with a long white beard that is almost touching the ground was standing there looking at me.
"Who are you?" I said rudely.
He looked at me over his shiny half moon glasses and said "Maybe you should ask yourself that question."
"I......." I peered at him thoughtfully. Who the hell is he? "Who the hell are you? Why are you wearing a dress?"
"I am not wearing a dress. They are robes. And I am Professor Dumbledore."
Seriously weird name. I looked him in the eye and said "Why are you here?"
"To get you, of course. You are eleven, is that right, Ruby?"
OMG so creepy. He knows my name. "Why does it matter that I am 11?" At this point I am debating whether he is really a magic guy or he is just a barmy old codger.
"Its quite hard to explain. Why dont you accompany me to somewhere more civilised? " Dumblywatsits asked. I cautiously got up and followed him to a big rock, where a tattered top hat was sitting.
"Oh haha. So you are a magician. Are you going to pull a rabbit out of the hat?"
"You might be surprised what it can do. Touch it quickly, its about to leave."
As I was about to ask what the hell he meant, we were being pulled along by something and landed with a thump in some odd dark pub place.
"Welcome to the Leaky Cauldron. "
"I......" I was speechless.
It was the most oddest bar that I had ever been. There was so much dodgy stuff going on. I stood there with my mouth agape, taking it all in while Dumbledore stood beside me smiling.
Omg!!! I had totally forgotten about this story and I looked at it and saw that it had, like SEVENTY FIVE reads! WTF!!!!! I was GOBSMACKED. ill try harder with the story now. ^.^
