Y/n's POV
I walk to our side of the pitch, a huge frown on my face, Rin and Isagi stay behind, it would look like Ryu-kun wants to provokate them as well
Y/n: Rin, ignore him. We have our own problems.
Isagi seems surprised at my ultra-serious tone, he is the first to leave Ryu-kun behind, I hear Rin scoff and he follows.
Isagi: Are you alright, Y/n?
Y/n: Yep, I'll deal with him for one last time.
Rin: It would look like this game became became personal for you very quickly, Hoshino.
Y/n: As I said, I'll deal with him for the last time, after all that's the role I was assigned to in case he played.
The second half finally starts with Sae passing the ball to Ryu-kun, the latter quickly gives the ball back to Sae.
With me being his container this means that I have total freedom to leave my position, just to hunt him down, this because I know exactly what he is gonna do.
Shidou: Heartbeats. Energy.
He starts running between us, as he goes to pass by me I turn around and immediatly chase after him. For probably everyone else this moves of his don't make sense, glad that I'm not everyone else, I'll stop him, even if that's the last thing I do.
Impressively enough his moves even throw his team off balance. After all knowing him as I do, this game isn't 11-on-11, for him it's 1-on-21.
I can see and understand the small gap Sae is gonna use, and Ryu-kun has to slow down to receive the ball, I'm gonna catch him there. The paass goes exactly as I predicted and has Ryu-kun receives it...
Shidou: All right--uh?! You really will not let me go, will you?
Y/n: This ends today, I warned you.
Shidou: Come and get me, Y/n!
All of a sudden Sendou passes behind Ryu-kun running, he's supporting his and Sae's play?
Sendou: Shidou!
Ryu-kun immediatly passes the ball to the U-20s striker.
Shidou: I don't think I'll face you just yet, Y/n.
Looking at Sendou's movements... is he copying the same combo Isagi and Rin did in the first half?
Sendou: If it means victory to us, I'll play just like you want me to!
He passes it quickly to... of course, Sae. The way he is positioning his body, is he gonna shoot? So soon? No, it can't be. It isn't I knew it, Ryu-kun must be opening a way, I'll go after him.
As I run to him I see Nikko aproaching, I know he has got this. As I expected Nikko catches Ryu-kun off guard and tackles him but in his movement ends up hitting Ryu-kun's foot. The referee blows the whistle and shows Nikko a yellow card. Yellow!? That was a natural movement! He couldn't just take his foot away, what fucking nonsense is this?
Shidou: You little eye-hiding gnome. Damn you.
Nikko: Sorry for stepping on you, Mr. Pest.
Shidou: Oh you're so dead!
Sae is the one to intervene.
Sae: Knock it off, idiot.
