Aarav's POV

"Hello aunty" I greet Aastha's mom as she opens the door. She smiles back politely. "I am going out for work. Aastha's in her room" she says and leaves.

After Aastha stormed out of the class, I decided to make it up to her.

So here I am, showing up at her house uninvited.

I watched her sit alone the entire lecture. I don't think Shreya did it on purpose, it was just a kind gesture. She noticed I was without a book and she came over just like Aastha was going to. So I can't blame her but I also get why Aastha felt bad.

I knock on the door of her room.

"Come in" she says. Her eyes widen when she looks at me, obviously not expecting me to show up out of nowhere.

She sitting on the queen sized bed with her legs stretched out. She's clutching a hot bag to her abdomen. Her face is a little paler than usual and it's etched into a frown. She must be on her period.

"What are you doing here? We weren't supposed to meet today, I am sure we are way ahead then the other teams-" She starts but I interrupt her.

"Are you okay? Why did you leave without even saying goodbye?" I ask.

"I wasn't feeling well and you looked pretty engrossed with Shreya so I didn't wanna intrude" She says nonchalantly.

"I am sorry. She was just being polite and I didn't want to hurt her. So I let her sit knowing you would understand." I say desperately

Hurt flashes across her face but she replaces it with a cold expression. "Knowing I would understand?! Sir scolded me for something that wasn't my fault, in front of the entire class! But oh no, Shreya's feelings shouldn't be hurt!" She says louder than her usual voice.

Damn.. She looks cuter when she's angry.

"I am sorry, I know I messed up." I say softly sitting on the edge of the bed.

She rubs her palm over her face before replying "It's fine. I am just not in the mood".

"Do you want me to leave?" I say half-heartedly.

"No. You can stay. I will just go use the washroom."

I nod as she gets up but I look at the bedsheet stained with blood where she was sitting.

She doesn't notice, not even the stain on her shorts.

Should I tell her?

"Aastha, you have a stain on your pants". I say softly

Her mouth parts comically and she stands there awkwardly.

"Go change." I say breaking the silence and she sprints to the washroom

I put everything on the bed to the floor as I carefully untuck the bedsheet.
