Carissa
Carissa was in the midst of a typical busy day at work, juggling her responsibilities with her usual dedication and efficiency. She was deeply engrossed in a case file when her phone rang. Taking a quick glance at the caller ID, she answered, curious to know who it was.
"Hello, this is Carissa," she said, her professional tone masking the flutter of anticipation she always felt when receiving important calls.
"Hi Carissa, this is Janet from the adoption agency. I'm calling with some wonderful news—you've been approved to adopt Mia and Camryn! Congratulations!"
Carissa's heart skipped a beat, and she felt tears of joy welling up in her eyes. "Oh my goodness, thank you so much, Janet! This is incredible news. I can't wait to tell Theodore."
Janet continued, "We're so happy for you and your family. We'll be in touch soon to finalize the details, but I wanted to share the good news with you as soon as possible."
Carissa thanked Janet again and hung up, feeling overwhelmed with happiness. The thought of officially adopting Mia and Camryn filled her with a profound sense of fulfillment and joy. She took a moment to collect herself before returning to her work.
Not long after, her phone rang again. This time it was her supervisor, Mr. Harris. "Carissa, I wanted to let you know that you're being considered for a promotion. Your hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed, and we believe you're the perfect candidate for this new role."
Carissa's day just kept getting better. "Thank you, Mr. Harris! I'm honored and excited about this opportunity."
As she ended the call, Carissa felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude. The news about the adoption and the promotion made her realize how much she had to be thankful for. She took a moment to reflect on the blessings in her life and the incredible journey she was on.
That evening, Carissa couldn't wait to share the news with Theodore and the girls. She knew that their family was about to take another beautiful step forward, filled with love, joy, and new beginnings.

The next morning, Carissa was fully immersed in her wedding preparations. She sat at her desk, carefully selecting and ordering their wedding invitations. She wanted them to be perfect, reflecting the elegance and love that would define their special day. The design featured delicate lace patterns and a soft ivory hue, matching the overall theme of the wedding.
Meanwhile, Theodore and his groomsmen were out shopping for their suits. They visited several boutiques, trying on different styles and colors to find the perfect look for the wedding. Theodore envisioned a classic yet modern style, with sleek suits and matching accessories that would complement Carissa's stunning gown.
As Carissa finalized the invitations, she also decided to order welcome bags for their out-of-town guests. She wanted everyone to feel appreciated and pampered, so she chose a variety of thoughtful items to include in the bags—local treats, travel essentials, personalized notes, and small keepsakes that would remind guests of the special day.
Carissa didn't forget her bridal party either. She ordered beautiful bags for her bridesmaids, filled with goodies and gifts to show her gratitude for their support and friendship. Each bag included personalized items such as monogrammed robes, scented candles, and jewelry to wear on the wedding day.
In addition to the welcome and bridal party bags, Carissa ordered various items for the wedding itself—elegant place cards, table numbers, and a guest book for their loved ones to leave heartfelt messages. She also chose stunning decorations to enhance the beauty of the venue, from floral arrangements to twinkling lights.
With each order placed, Carissa felt a growing sense of excitement and anticipation. Everything was coming together beautifully, and she couldn't wait to see their vision come to life. The wedding was shaping up to be a magical celebration of their love, filled with special touches that would make it unforgettable.

Later that evening, Carissa and Theodore prepared for their next counseling session with Bishop Thaddeus. This session was particularly special, as it would include their daughters, Mia and Baby Camryn. They were eager to involve the girls in this meaningful part of their wedding journey.
The family arrived at the church and were warmly greeted by Bishop Thaddeus. "Good evening, Carissa, Theodore, Mia, and Camryn. It's wonderful to see all of you," he said with a smile.
"Thank you, Bishop. We're looking forward to this session," Carissa replied, holding Baby Camryn in her arms.
They all sat down in Bishop Thaddeus's cozy office, the atmosphere filled with a sense of love and anticipation. The Bishop began the session by explaining how important it was to involve the whole family in these preparations.
"Mia and Camryn, you are such an important part of this family," Bishop Thaddeus said gently. "Today, we're going to talk about how we can all support each other and make this transition as joyful as possible."
Mia listened attentively, her eyes wide with curiosity. "What can we do to help, Bishop?" she asked.
"Well, Mia, you can start by sharing how you feel about the upcoming wedding and what you're most excited about," the Bishop suggested.
Mia smiled and thought for a moment. "I'm really excited to see Mom in her beautiful dress and to be part of the wedding. I want to help make everything special."
"That's wonderful, Mia. Your excitement and love are a big help," Carissa said, her heart swelling with pride.
Baby Camryn, although too young to fully understand, sensed the loving energy in the room and gurgled happily, reaching out to touch Theodore's face. Theodore smiled and kissed her tiny hand.
Bishop Thaddeus continued, "It's also important for Carissa and Theodore to share how much they love and appreciate you both. This family is built on love, and every member plays a crucial role."
Carissa took Mia's hand and looked into her eyes. "Mia, we love you and Camryn so much. This wedding isn't just about us; it's about our whole family coming together. We're so happy to have you both with us."
Mia hugged Carissa tightly. "I love you too, Mom."
The session continued with open and heartfelt conversations, strengthening the bonds between them. By the end, they all felt closer and more united than ever before, ready to face the future as a loving family.
