CHAPTER 44

Side story

"Stop touching me, Bin... We're still not okay, remember?" She said and continue teasing him.

Bin look at her with his dark eyes that's full of desire. He's trying to control himself to carry her and lay her down on the bed.

He look at her. "You're the one who started this, Yej..." He whispered and he adjust himself to come closer to her.

There's an inch gap between their faces.

They got interrupted when Yejin's phone suddenly vibrate. It is inside of his pocket.

Bin immediately take her phone from his pocket and saw Chul Soo's message.

"Who's that?" She said. Bin is about to give her her phone but something caught his attention.

The twins'  photo on her wallpaper.

Bin tilt his head while looking at the picture and he couldn't explain why he feels something strange while looking at the twins.

"Is these your kids? They're twins?" He asked and look at her.

Yejin look at him and look at the picture. She smile and nodded.

Bin keep looking at the picture and his tears unknowingly filled his eyes. His heart  keeps on pounding.

Yejin smile while looking at him.

"It's our twins..." She said.

Bin look at her and his tears started to fall from his eyes. "You mean..." He said. Yejin nodded.

"They're yours... you're their father, Bin." She said.

But this is all in Yejin's imagination. She was about to tell her about the twins but she hesitate.

"Yej? Are you okay?" Bin said when it seems Yejin is spacing out.

Yejin look at him. She's getting confused if this is the perfect timing to tell Bin about their twins. But she suddenly feel hesitate because of what Chul Soo told her before.

What if his reaction will be opposite to what she expected?

And what if  Chul Soo is right that getting back together with Bin doesn't work? And Bin will push the custody of their twins?

Yejin bite her lips. She needs to think first before she decide to him.

'But he has a right to know about them... He still their father...' In her mind.

"Yej!" Bin called. "Huh?!" She said.

"About your twins..." He said. Yejin look away. "I feel sleepy, Bin... Goodnight." She said and take her phone from him.She release herself from his hold and immediately went back to the room.

Bin left standing. He's getting confused on her reaction. And especially why he feel something strange while looking at the twins' photo earlier.

Yejin close the door and lean her back on it. "Give me some more time to prepare myself Bin." She whispered and she let out a soft sigh.

Present days

It's been week since Bin and Yejin stay in their old house. Bin kept his promise that he will do everything to win her heart again.

Yejin is watching him cooking at the kitchen while she seated on the sofa. Honestly, Bin still the owner of her heart even though they got divorced.

Yejin stood up and walk towards to where he is. "You need help?"She asked. Bin look at her then he smile. "Just relax and let me cook for you." He said. Yejin smiled. "Yah, I keep yawning while watching you so let me help you." She said.

Yejin snatch the knife from him and she continue his doing. Bin smile while watching them chopping the vegetables.

"Wow... You grown up!" He said. "You know how to chop and use a knife." He added.

Yejin let out a peal of laughter with her pair of eye smile. Bin smile while looking at her. "I miss this..." He said while he's leaning on the counter table.

Yejin stop from her doing. Bin still staring at her. "I miss your contagious laughter and your eye smile that always makes my day complete." He said.

Yejin look at him and she got startled to meet his eyes. Bin let out a small smile and fix some hair strand on her face. "I'm envying your twin's father. If I didn't ask for divorced, I should be the one they will call Appa... Not that guy." He added.

Yejin didn't speak and look away.

"Bin..." She said.

"I'm getting confused... What if you only miss our friendship not our marriage?" Yejin said. Bin look at her. Yejin let out a deep sigh. "When we got divorced, there's so many questions that keep haunting me until to this day." She said and look at him. "Did you really love me? Or you're just used to it because we've always been together since our childhood? Did you really want to build a family with me? Or you just got pressured that time because we're married?" She said.

"Yej, I love you... I really do. If there's someone I want to be with for the rest of my life, it's you..." He said. He put his hand on her shoulder to turn her around to face him. "Can you trust me again? I'll promise this time I will be very careful with your heart. Yej, let's start once again, can we?" He said. He hold her hand and gently pressed it. "Those words that I said to you three years ago... Those words that hurt your feelings, I didn't mean to. All Ive been said to you are all lies. I swear it's killing me and my heart are also broke into pieces while telling you those words." He said.

Bin look at her eyes. "Im so sorry for hurting you... Please give me another chance to prove to  you how much I love you." He said.

Yejin tears running down on her cheeks. Bin hug her tightly and close his eyes. "I love you, Yej..." He whispered. Yejin close her eyes and she's sobbing. She let her emotion control her that time.

She slowly put her arms around his waist and return a hug on him.

(The day after Yejin found out the true reason of their divorce)

Yejin cry all night as she found out the reason why Bin need to ask her a divorce three years ago.

She call her mother and Tell he plan. Her father didn't agree on her but when she explained the reason why they got divorced and what happened to Bin, he finally support her decision.

She book a ticket for them to go here in Seoul so their twins meet their father. She thinks that Bin have all rights to know about their twins.

But there's also a side of her that she's been afraid of.

What if Bin will fight for the custody of their twins?

She can't live her life without her kids.
