"Where is it?" the blonde supersoldier asks forcefully, pressing Natasha against the back wall of the room.

"Safe" she replies, looking over at Katerina's form as she storms into the room, glaring at the supersoldier.

"Do better!" he barks, stll pressing the redhead against the wall, unaware of the fiery gaze focused on his back from the tall brunette spy, who clenches and unclenches her fists rapidly, trying to restrain herself from attacking Steve.

"Where did you get it?" Natasha asks calmly, gazing warningly at the brooding brunette.

"Why would I tell you?" he asks sharply, still blissfully unaware of the potential danger behind him.

"Fury gave it to you. Why?" Natasha says, still maintaining her calm tone and body language, despite being pinned against a wall by an angry supersoldier, whilst her protective girlfriend clenches and unclenches her fists, her icy blue eyes fixed on Steve angrily.

"What's on it?" he asks, ignoring Natasha's question.

"I don't know" she responds calmly.

"Stop lying!" he exclaims, his voice raising as he presses himself closer.

"I only act like I know everything, Rogers" she says, gritting of her teeth, but still glaring warningly at Katerina.

"I bet you knew Fury hired the pirates, didn't you?" he says, stepping back slightly.

"Pretty much" Katerina mutters softly as Natasha also speaks "Well, it makes sense. The ship was dirty, Fury needed a way in, so do you"

"I'm not gonna ask you again" he says threateningly, so Katerina decides to step in, distract the angry supersoldier from her redhead girlfriend.

"We know who killed Fury. Most of the intelligence community doesn't believe he exists, the ones who do call him the Winter Soldier. He's credited with over two dozen assassinations in the last fifty years" she says, using a similar calm tone to Natasha's, stepping closer to both the redhead and the supersoldier.

"So he's a ghost story" he replies, a hint of a question in his tone.

"Well, a... a long while ago, I was.. well, I was kinda like him, before I joined SHIELD. We were both sent after the same target, ended up fighting. he... he beat me up pretty bad..." Katerina says, a hint of vulnerability in her voice.

Natasha, seeing the vulnerability, cuts in with her own anecdote about her encounter with the Winter Soldier "Five years ago I was escorting a nuclear engineer out of Iran, somebody shot out my tires near Odessa. We lost control, went straight over a cliff, I pulled us out, but the Winter Soldier was there. I was covering my engineer, so he shot him straight through me" she lifts her shirt, revealing a large, circular scar on the side of her stomach "Soviet slug, no rifling. Bye-bye bikinis"

"Yeah, I bet you look terrible in them now" he teases, letting go of her and stepping back.

"Nah, you still look sexy in them" Katerina says, smirking as Natasha looks at her with a smile.

"Going after him is a dead end. I know, I've tried" Natasha says, changing the topic as she notices Steve's obvious uncomfort and holding up the flashdrive "Like you said, he's a ghost story" she continues as Steve takes the flashdrive from her.

"Well, let's find out what the ghost wants" Steve replies as the three begin to walk out.

The three later arrive at a nearby mall, all dressed in casual civilian clothes as a disguise, since Steve had filled the pair in as to his predicament as a fugitive from SHIELD, having had some blame for Fury's assassination placed upon him by Alexander Pierce.
