After everything had settled down, the newly named 'Avengers' gathered to bid goodbye to Thor, who was to return to Asgard, the home of the gods, with Loki and the Tesseract. As they gathered together in a blocked off area in Central Park, Thor shakes everyone's hands and gives Selvig a hug before taking the glass tube containing the Tesseract and giving the other end to a chained and muzzled Loki, who reluctantly takes it and both step into an energy beam, promptly disappearing. After this spectacle, the other Avengers separate, with Bruce and Tony climbing into one of Tony's many luxurious sports cars, Steve returning to his Harley and Natasha, Katerina and Clint to a SHIELD car.

As they sit in the car, Katerina in the back without a seatbelt and leaning forwards, her arms draped around Natasha's chair, Natasha in the front passenger seat and Clint driving, occassionally looking over at the two spies with a smirk.
"What?" Natasha asks, finally breaking the silence inside the car.
"Well, I never expected you to be into girls, Nat, and for the infamous Agent Raven to be so cuddly" he replies, looking ahead with a smirk.
"If you say anything about this to anyone, Barton, you'll find your boots with snakes in" Katerina threatens, glowering over at him.
Natasha sniggers "Doroguy, as much as I love your possessiveness, don't threaten my best friend" she says
"Doroguy? You two are already doing pet names?" he asks in a fake innocent tone.
"Suka" Katerina mutters darkly to herself, which Natasha hears and snorts at.
"Language" she replies, to which Clint looks over with a raised eyebrow.
"Do I wanna know?" he asks. Both female spies shake their heads and the drive lapses back into silence.
As the car approaches their destination, Natasha speaks up again "So, Kat, what's your plan? Are you gonna go back into hiding? Are you gonna come back to SHIELD? Or are you gonna do something else?"
Katerina sighs and leans back to sit properly in her seat before speaking "I think I might come back. After all, this life, the stable, safe life, it never suited me. I was too restless to sit back and... being called back to help... I needed that"
Natashs nods and turns to Clint "What are you planning to do?"
"I'm gonna take a long break, spend some time with family, y'know. What about you, Nat?" he responds
"Back to work, I guess. Settling would never suit me, not after..." she pauses "Not after how I was trained"
Katerina leans forwards again and hugs Natasha, lightly kissing her. However, the moment is ruined as Clint makes gagging sounds "Get a room"
Both women roll their eyes at his comment and and Katerina mutters "Maybe its just that he needs to grow up", causing Natasha to snicker.

As the car reaches the Triskelion, the main headquarters of SHIELD, placed in Washington DC, the three prepare, switching on their business facades, their jokes and laughter fading as they no longer remain as Clint Barton, Natasha Romanoff and Katerina Vorona, but Hawkeye, Black Widow and the Raven.

As the three enter the Triskelion, agents nearby whisper, looking at them, Katerina especially. Of course, she knows why, as she went off the radar years ago and suddenly reappeared, joining the group that saved the world. She ignores them, walking purposefully towards the elevators with Clint and Ntasha, pressing the button to the floor containing Nick Fury's office. As she reaches the office, she knocks and hears a muffled "Come in" from the other side of the door, to which she obliges and the other two stay outside, letting her talk privately with the director.
"Raven, to what do I owe the pleasure?" he questions as she closes the door behind her.
"You know why, I presume, Nick" she responds in a level tone.
"I have a hunch. Sit" he says, leaning back in his leather seat, his singular eye following her.
"I'd prefer to stand" she responds, leaning against the wall, her arms crossed.
"Still have that habit, I see, Raven" he says casually, his body language and expression calm but guarded. She nods silently "Well, I presume you have a reason for coming up here then?" he asks.
"Yes, Nick. I'd like to rejoin SHIELD, back in my old position" she states calmly, her expression unchanging as Nick raises an eyebrow.
"What happened to 'I'm leaving this life for good'?" he asks.
"I realised I only really suit this life" she responds, her position leaning against the wall unchanging, her emotions hidden from the eye, but a raging torrent of self-doubt, anxiousness and... calm. He nods in understanding.
"I'll have to inform a few people and get you back in and do a fitness check before you can get your position back" he says and she nods in response.
"That's fine" she responds, her voice unwavering despite the rushing wave of relief inside her, which she hides behind her carefully arranged facade.
"You are dismissed, Raven. You'll hear back within the week" he says, dismissing her, to which she obliges and leaves whilst Natasha and Clint slip inside the office.

Hey readers! Sorry this chapter is a lot shorter, it's kind of a filler and I ran out of ideas to write for it. But Katerina's back at SHIELD, right in time for Captain America: The Winter Soldier! I'm really happy with this story so far and I'd really like to know everyone's opinions on it. Please vote and/or comment, it'd be much appreciated. And we get to know a little bit more about Kat this chapter, although most of her past and identity is to be revealed later. But the stuff with Nat and Clint is just how I imagine them to be if they were real people (which I really wish they were LOL). That's all for now, sorry this chapter is a bit later!
