As week two at Acamancy came to a close I have been seeing more and more of Paxx, and as much as I am trying to not get my hopes up, I think Brynn may have been right. He pays me attention and ignores my friends. When I see him around campus, he is occasionally with the same male I saw him with at Defense against Danger. The one who is tall and slim like, Paxx. he has a kind of elegance to him as well, but not in a regal sort of way like Paxx, in more of a casual sort of way, if that makes any sense. His button-down black shirt is always rolled to the elbow, and unbuttoned at the top so expose some chest. His black hair, which isn't as deep in tone and intensity as Calum's, has hints of brown to it in the light. But where Paxxon always has his snow-white hair gelled back to perfection, Caleb has his dark, slightly wavy, hair free and mused. He is even more quiet and mysterious than Paxx is, and anytime I am around, Caleb walks off.
It's not like Paxxon has admitted anything, or said anything, other than comments about class or the school or life in general, but the fact that he speaks at all has to say something as far as Paxxon is concerned. He also approaches me now and then. It's not just the fact he doesn't dismiss me like everyone else, but he engages me in class occasionally. Calum has made a lot of faces and sounds when he catches me starry eyed after Paxxon taps my shoulder to ask me a question in history. Bee, Summer, Lylah, Mal and all the girls fake swoon whenever he gestures for me to sit near him in Defense Against Danger. All is well, I am thrilled. Classes are going well, my prospects for Apprentice look hopeful, though Baylee is giving me a run for my money, and Paxx seems interested in me. The only issue: Mitch has been acting weird. He has a lot of friends, which is great, but he has never blown me off like this before. He doesn't walk to class with me, does not sit by me in any classes anymore, and even at lunch he chooses a spot as far away from me as he can find. Maybe it's all in my head though. My brain is in overdrive with everything going on.
It's Tuesday, the third week of school. I am in the library after finishing up a pretty boring Manipulation for Beginners class. I am currently in the library adding the finishing touches to my family tree project, while Mal is in Wind Skills and Bee is in AEE, trying to relax and clear my mind.
