Monday in a classroom is not a proper greeting for Emalyne. I conclude I must take my return Sunday night instead, Emalyne requires an explanation. I was able to convince my mother to give me the location of her dormitories. I am typically against taking advantage of certain liberties awarded to me solely based on the status of my parents, but like my clothing, this called for an exemption. I had spied Emalyne in her typical reading location and crept past her to the dormitories. Once I had arrived at my destination, I easily convinced both of her present dorm mates to vacate the premises for the next three hours, giving me ample time to set the stage and prove my intentions. Miss Brynn had agreed to encourage Emalyne to head back early following their mealtime, while she and their other dorm mate was off elsewhere. I was assured that the fourth inhabitant of this particular dorm room would not return until significantly later into the night, as she spends her evening elsewhere on every available occasion.
One hour had passed before Emalyne arrived in the dorm shortly after 7:00 in the evening. Which allotted us just under two hours until company was due to return. When the woman, I am expecting. opens the door to her dorm, to a very unexpected visitor, me, on what I hope is her bed since it smells like she does, she is stunned.
"Paxx what are you doing here, not just here as in Acamancy but here as in my room, my bed..."
"This appears to be your bed; I had hoped I was not inadvertently occupying the bed of your roommate. Hello, Emalyne. I have found myself missing you more than I had anticipated, and it has come to my attention that I need to offer a proper apology for my abrupt departure before our meeting tomorrow. I returned to campus a few hours ago and felt it imperative to take the opportunity to speak with you privately before we attend our classes in the morning." I open my apologies and my hopeful attempt to regain her trust, with these poorly chosen, impactful words. But before I can amend my statement to one with proper effect, Emalyne cuts in.
"Apologize for what Paxxon, I don't own you or your time," Emalyne starts, but it is my turn to now cut off her attempted words. I need to do this properly.
"Please Emalyne, Please allow me a moment to explain as best I can, then you may have a time in which to respond however you see fit, as your decision as for what is next to occur in this evening, with or without my presence, is of course, entirely up to you," I hold my breath for a moment, hoping to avoid any attempted protest, nothing occurs. So I take a breath and continue.
"As I briefly mentioned prior to my unexpected departure, my mother experienced a health issue, and I had other commitments that demanded my attention. Additionally, I have not been myself over the past several days, as I too began to feel unwell. I created distance, not entirely from you, but from everyone, to secure the relief I needed for my recovery. I have utilized the weekend to recuperate and subsequently dedicated my remaining time to composing this apology for you. Emalyne, I genuinely value our time together and sincerely hope that I did not inadvertently convey the wrong impression regarding my intentions. It is my desire to spend considerable time with you to facilitate a mutual understanding as we become more acquainted. Moreover, I aspire not only to cultivate a friendship, in which we delve into each other's thoughts, but also to establish a companionship that allows us to explore one another's physical presence, always respecting your comfort levels and timing. I find you intriguing, Emalyne, and I hope I have not compromised myself by stating that I believe I can easily perceive your sentiments. I also hope that I have not misinterpreted the affection you may feel towards me. I consider both evaluations to be accurate, and if my interpretation of your feelings is correct, I sincerely believe that my aspirations, which I shared with you, align with what you are seeking and wish to involve me in as well. Am I overly presumptuous in making this assumption?" I pose this question, allowing Emalyne the opportunity to respond.
