Buck's POV

The car jerked to a stop on a deserted backroad, gravel crunching beneath the tires. Buck's stomach dropped as Phillip opened the door, yanking him out of the car with more force than necessary.

Buck stumbled, barely catching himself before Phillip dragged him toward an old, rundown cabin hidden among the trees. The air was cold, biting against Buck's skin as fear clawed at his throat.

"What's your plan, huh?" Buck spat, trying to mask his terror with bravado. "Kidnap me and hope no one notices?"

Phillip didn't respond. His grip on Buck's arm was ironclad, his silence more unnerving than any threat.

"You know they'll find me," Buck continued, his voice trembling. "Eddie, Bobby, the whole team—they won't stop until they do."

Phillip finally stopped, turning to face Buck. His expression was cold, devoid of any humanity.

"Let them come," Phillip said, his voice low and dangerous. "By the time they find you, it'll be too late."

The words sent a chill down Buck's spine. He was pushed into the cabin, the door slamming shut behind them. The room was dark, the air stale and suffocating. Buck's heart raced as he scanned the space, searching for anything he could use to escape.

"You're not going anywhere," Phillip said, as if reading his thoughts. He shoved Buck into a chair, pulling out a set of zip ties to bind his wrists.

Buck twisted against the restraints, his mind racing. He couldn't give up—not now, not ever.

Eddie's POV

The SUV skidded to a halt in the gas station parking lot, the team spilling out in a flurry of urgency. Eddie's eyes scanned the area, his chest tightening with every second that passed without a sign of Buck.

"Chim, pull the surveillance footage," Bobby ordered, his voice steady despite the tension in his jaw.

Chimney nodded, running toward the gas station attendant. Hen placed a reassuring hand on Eddie's shoulder, but he barely registered it.

"We're close," she said softly. "We'll find him."

Eddie nodded, his throat too tight to speak. His mind was a storm of fear and anger, the image of Phillip dragging Buck away seared into his thoughts.

Moments later, Chimney returned, holding up his phone with a grim expression.

"They left heading east," Chimney said, showing the footage of Phillip's car pulling out of the gas station. "There's nothing else nearby except an old cabin about five miles down that road."

"That's gotta be it," Eddie said, his voice firm. He was already moving, climbing back into the SUV before anyone could stop him.

"Wait, Eddie!" Bobby called.

"No time!" Eddie snapped, slamming the door shut.

Bobby exchanged a look with Hen before nodding. "Let's go."

Buck's POV

Buck's wrists ached from pulling against the zip ties, his breath coming in sharp, shallow gasps. He had no idea how long he'd been in the cabin, but every second felt like an eternity.

Phillip sat across from him, his gaze cold and unyielding. The silence was oppressive, pressing down on Buck like a physical weight.

"You know," Buck said, his voice hoarse, "this is only proving that I was right to cut you out of my life."
