Gregor POV:
When Gregor woke up, he couldn't see. At least not until he used his echolocation. He clicked, and realized he was surrounded by creatures. Some being people, some being various Underland animals.
He scanned the room, and noticed on the other end of the room was a girl with white-blonde hair covering her face. Luxa.
Gregor tried to get up, but his hands were bound. He huffed in frustration and sunk against the wall. How was he supposed to get them out? The floor was concrete, and there was no viable exit as far as he could see.
There was nothing to help him escape, and there didn't even look as if there was an escape. He was doomed.
A light cracked through one of the walls, before a door swung open. The creatures all hugged the wall, cowering away from the gnawers that came out of the doorway. The only ones that didn't, were him and Luxa.
Luxa seemed to be passed out, not even flinching or turning to look at the gnawers. The gnawers scanned the room, before landing on Gregor.
"Bring him for today." the gnawer in front muttered, before turning out of the room. Some gnawers grabbed Gregor and untied him, dragging him out of the room.
He fought against them, refusing to be tortured again. He was still healing from the wounds the other week. Though, it was no use, and they still dragged him.
The gnawers threw him to the floor in a white-gray room, made of granite.
"Alright boy, tell us how to get into Regalia." The gnawers questioned him. So that's what their plan is. To take over the Underland, starting with Regalia.
"I won't tell you." Gregor spat, and one of the gnawers tails whipped his gut. Gregor doubled over in pain, but didn't back down.
For the next few hours the gnawers tortured Gregor for information, which he refused to give. By the time they threw him back in the room, he couldn't stand.
He collapsed by some cutters, who scurried away from him. Though, when the gnawers went to tie him back up, he gathered every amount of strength he could manage, and quickly dodged their claws, grabbing the swords attached to their waist.
The creatures all riled up, cheering him on. More guards filed into the room, and he quickly took care of the gnawers he disarmed. Gregor turned to the new guards, swords raised, body stiff. He knew we wouldn't be able to gone for much longer, so he charged.
He swung and dodged, and did everything he could. When a gnawer came to close, he'd make as much distance as possible between them. His rager instincts kicked in, and despite the pain he was in, he took down all the guards.
Gregor stood in the middle of a pile of gnawer bodies, panting. After hearing shouting out the door, he hurriedly freed all the creatures.
"Attack them! Get out of here and to Regalia!" the creatures all shouted, and followed Gregor's command, charging out of the room with renowned vigor.
Gregor turned to the last person. The one person he hadn't freed yet. Luxa.
He ran over to her and shook her, concern on his face. Why wasn't she waking up? What torture had the gnawers put her through?
With a start, Luxa's head shot up and she looked at him with wild eyes, visibly panicked and distraught.
"Lux! It's ok, it's just me. It's Gregor." He pulled her to his chest and stroked her hair, relieved she was okay. After Luxa realized who it was that was holding her, she relaxed in Gregor's arms and clung to him tightly.
"Can you walk?" Gregor questioned, hearing the fighting just a few rooms over. Luxa shook her head, so Gregor picked her up.
She yelped, but clung tighter to him nonetheless. Gregor carried her in one arm and had his sword raised high with his other.
He ran into the chaos of the battle, making sure to protect her, swinging at any gnawer that got too close.
Once they made it out of the cave, he set her down in a nearby bush.
"Can you call Aurora?" He questioned her, as Aurora would be the quickest way they could get out of there.
Luxa nodded and whistled loudly, the sound echoing for kilometers. A few moments later Aurora appeared, landing in front of them, her golden fur shining in the moonlight.
"Luxa! Gregor! I am glad you are safe. Hurry, we must go." They nodded, and climbed up on her back, Gregor behind Luxa, wrapping his arms around her to steady her.
Aurora took off towards Regalia, and Gregor held Luxa close as she fell asleep. The last day or two had been busy, and chaotic, but at least she was here, in his arms, safe now.
At least so he thought...
