(Still Wednesday)

Sal and his friends were walking back to the apartments after a long, exhausting day of school.

Briefly in his history class, the bluenette talked to Travis. They agreed that Travis would go back to his house and and then go to Sal's apartment at 5 PM and had to leave some time before 7 PM.

Sal still needed to clean up his room and make it look presentable. Wouldn't take too long as Sal barely ever let his room get messy, unlike Larry.

Oh god, Larry's room is like a hoarder's house.

Anyways, nevermind that.

After separating from his friends and peeled off into his own apartment, he just started slightly picking up stuff around. Just to somewhat tidy.

After he thought it was clean enough, he moved onto his room.

Okay, so maybe it was a bit messier than anticipated.

But thats fine.

He has plenty of time anyways.

Sal started off by picking up loose clothing and throwing it into his clothes hamper, then shoving that into his closet just to make his room tidier. He then moved onto picking up and throwing away small wrappers and random pieces of plastic from off his floor.

Then so on.

the bluenette then ended off cleaning his room by remaking his bed. Putting on all the blankets neat and tidy and rearranged his stuffies so they sat up better. Like a little showcase on his bed. Putting his favorite, a little grey rabbit plush his mother got for him when he was little. He held that plushie dearly in his heart.

Once he was done with that, he felt a small buzz from his pocket.

Sal pulled out his phone and flipped it open, quickly glancing at the time before opening his messages.

It was 4:47.

He soon found he had gotten a text from his dad.

Dad: Hey kiddo, getting off work early today. I'll be home around 6. Love you.

The bluenette quickly typed a response back. He then got another message, this one being from Travis.

Travis :): I'll be there soon.

Sal's heartbeat picked up ever so slightly, but immediately shook his hands a bit to hopefully quell the excitement he felt.

Sally Face: got it :)

The blue haired boy then realized he was still in the clothes he wore to school. Remembering that, he quickly dug through his dresser for something clean to wear.

A baggy red long sleeved shirt with a skull design and black sweatpants. That'll do.

He quickly slipped on the outfit, just as he was done, he heard a knock at the front door.

Sal practically ran out of his room and to the front door, immediately opening it, startling Travis a bit.

"Hi." the bluenette sounded a bit too enthusiastic.

"Hi...can I come in?" Travis responded, looking as tired and annoyed as ever.

"Yup. Make yourself at home." Sal opened the door wider for Travis to walk in.

The blondie silently inspected the apartment. During that, gizmo softly rubbed up on his ankle, scaring Travis near out of his skin.

Sal stifled his laugh as best as he could, not wanting to piss off Travis. He walked over and picked the fat tabby up.

"Sorry, this is Gizmo, my cat." Sal

"Nooo, I thought that was your bird." Travis retorted in an obviously sarcastic voice and deadpanned.

"What? Why would you think that?" Sal tilted his head slightly like a confused puppy. Obviously he didn't pick up on the sarcasm.

Travis just scoffed and crossed his arms. "That was obviously sarcasm."

"Oh....Well anyways, do you want anything to drink?" Sal just changed the subject very casually, turning around to go into the kitchen.

"I'm fine, thank you." The taller boy replied in the same, somehow passive aggressive and stern tone like always. To Sal, it always seemed like some sort of front. Like if he didn't act aggressive and pissed off all the time, he'd breakdown.

There had been some very rare times when Sal would see how actually tired Travis was. It was very depressing and in some way interesting to watch when the blondie thought no one was looking and just took a second to recompose himself. Those times Travis always looked on the verge of tears.

And that just made Sal want to figure out why he had to put up those, very thick walls, and help him.

The blue haired boy then realized he was thinking too much for maybe too long and closed the refrigerator with a cold Dr. Pepper in his hand.

He walked back out to the living room, catching Travis sitting on the couch, petting Gizmo.

A small, genuine smile on Travis' face as he pet the fat orange cat.

That very quickly went away when the taller boy realized Sal re-entered the room, jumping a bit and pulling away from Gizmo, like he did something wrong.

"Oh, sorry. You're fine. Didn't mean to scare you." Sal immediately tried to reassure Travis that he wasn't in trouble, holding his hands up a bit to drive home the fact that he wasn't mad or anything.

"It's okay." Travis' voice was now a lot quieter as he looked down to the ground. The blondie then cleared his throat awkwardly.

"Sooo...are you going to tutor me, or....?" Travis looked back up at Sal and crossed his arms, going back to his normal stern and serious demeanor.

"Oh, yeah. Here, jus a second." The bluenette set his soda on the coffee table and speed walked his way into his room, then coming out with a spiral notebook and a mechanical pencil.

Sal sat next to Travis on the couch as Travis pulled out his notebook and a pencil from his backpack and set them on the coffee table.

Sal didn't leave much room between them two, maybe on purpose, maybe not. The bluenette noticed Travis kind of tensed up, going frozen.

"You good?" Sal tilted his head again, looking up at the blondie.

"Y-yeah..." Travis' face went slightly red and he avoided eye contact with Sal.

"Ah, aight." Sal shrugged it off, flipping open his notebook to a fresh page, Travis doing the same as well.

Before the bluenette could start teaching, there was a knock at the door.
