"Oh... yes, come with me." She said her tone changing to one of sympathy, The receptionist led Asia to a side room. "Please take a seat can I get you a drink?.."
"No, I just want to know what's happening?."
"The doctor will be with you very soon... if you can just wait here... thank you." She said and smiled at her with a saddened, pitiful smile.
Asia furrowed her brow, this was not what she was expecting. She could see officers in the hallway and suddenly she swallowed hard. The doctor opened the door and walked in, she sat across from Asia. "You're Tia's sister?... She nodded. "I'm so sorry... we tried all we could to save her...
"What!.." Asia stood up quickly, like someone had fired a rocket through her heart.
"She umm... she was caught in the heart... she died before she even left the scene... we tried all we could and the paramedics at the scene worked on her for half an hour or more... but she was already gone..." she said to her.
Asia let the tears fall. "That's my sister... my.. my baby sister...
"The police are outside they would like to talk to you.."
"I don't know anything... I don't wanna talk to them... Before she had chance to finish agent Collins and Rice were walking into the room. Asia looked at them. "Look at you... LIKE VULTURES... never there when it really matters!.. but there to suck up all the shit after the fact..."
"Where is Eli?...
"How the hell should I know...
"Well, we have reason to believe that he knows everything about what happened to your sister.."
Asia looked at them. "What do you mean...
"She was shot in his club, CCTV says that she was very up close and personal with Jay Tanner when Eli walked in..."
"No... she... no, she and Eli were going through something.... He threw her out of the house... why would he kill her... why didn't he do it then?." She said trying to make sense of everything. Collin knew however, that while she was feeling like this it was entirely the best time to get out of her as much information as he could.

It had been hours, India was still bright eyed and more awake than she had ever been. Her father was dozing next to her and Che had gone to get refreshments. "... god please save my son, my baby boy... he does not deserve to be wrapped up in his father's mess... please do not punish my son for his father's actions... Darin is beautiful and I would ensure that my boy would never be bad to anyone... I would raise him right... he would never be anything like his father.... Please hear me...
"Miss Winter.... She was brought from her thoughts by the doctor coming across to see her. Lawrence had also heard and was now sat up.
"How is he... can I see him?..." she begged.
The doctor looked at her with a straight face. "Please stay seated Miss Winter... I'm afraid I have news and it is not good.. Lawrence grabbed his daughter as his words made her unstable in her seat. "We retrieved the chip... but there were complications... we couldn't stem the blood loss, we did everything that we could but by the end of it his heart was too weak... he passed away at 11.04... I am so sorry....
India's entire body turned cold, as cold as ice, right now she would have done anything to stop his pain, taking his place, anything so that she didn't need to feel this pain anymore and what she knew she would feel for the rest of her life. She didn't even cry, she just stared, her eyes unable to blink as if stuck fast.
"Can we.... Can we umm.. see him..." Lawrence asked.

Indy just stood and moved her legs as if on auto. Her mind had shut down. She couldn't think or feel right now, she couldn't imagine life without her son even though she had only been graced with him for the past year.
She stepped into the room, it was so quiet and so dimly lit. Her father stood back and waited for Che to return. India walked up to the small crib that Darin was lying in, he looked so peaceful, his eyes closed, no pain on his face, he was at ease. She touched his hand and held his tiny fingers in her hand. "I will always love you Darin... you were my best friend in this whole world, my whole reason for being... I will make sure that your death doesn't go unpunished... I will avenge you baby boy, I can promise you that... and for the man that helped me create you, who never loved you at all.. the clock is now ticking.. I can promise you that..."
Lawrence stepped outside and Che knew by the look on his father's face that the baby had passed. "Shit!," he said rubbing the back of his neck and looking up in pure disbelief, he had hoped and even believed that they had gotten him sorted out in time. "What now...

The doctor handed India a small plastic bag. Inside it was the chip that had ended her son's life. She stared at it as she still held Darin's tiny hand in hers. Her mind was darkening and she had only one thing on her mind now.....
