Staring down at my little sister, the one whom was snuggled into her older brother, wearing matching jumpers, as the two of them slept soundly on the couch, I really wondered what had taken over me to leave such an innocent child on her own. I looked closer, to see the kitten that I had purchased for her a few months back, clutching onto her and Angelo, fitting in perfectly with the two of them.

"Leo, can I have a word?" Al appeared at my side, as I just nodded to my younger brother, taking one last glance at the two of them, before I walked away. Al had texted me that Chiara had fallen sick again, yet he had seemed shocked when I showed up. I don't think he was expecting me to show up, and I wasn't either, as I hadn't even put the address in, rather just driven here like it was second nature.

He had kept me posted, as well as side notes from Angelo, which he reveled that my car had had a tracker, which had notified him that I had been run off the road, but I had not mentioned that to my brothers. I had been through hell and back to get here, just because I was chased by an assassin. I didn't want to worry any of them, but I had officially put that all to bed, as well as our parents.

Our parents had finally been locked up for good, after my alcoholic episode. I had drunk since we had gotten to our new place, which I had thought was safe, but it turned out to be one of the most unsafe places to leave my family. They had gotten out with only a few minuets to spare, and that had been my moment to pull my shit together.

I had a family that depended on me, and they all had other people that depended on them like girlfriends and friends. They had lives to live, and I needed to make sure that they were safe, rather than letting my overworked body take control. From seeing the way that Enzo was with his drugs, had scared me enough to know that I didn't want it to happen to him, and if it happened to me, there would be no going back.

So I had taken time off, and when I had heard my sister was sick, it was like an instinct to come here. To follow where my heart told me my family was. I came back. I came back to where my home now was, that held my family. Some of them being like my own children, I knew that as their parental figure, I couldn't leave them like my own had left me.

"Leo, please tell me you have your shit together?" the pleading in Al's voice shook me down to the core, and I gave him the answer he had been looking for the past few weeks. "Yes, and we are safe" he then embraced me in a tight hug, as I held him close to my body. It had been years since we had shared a hug like this, and it felt good. "I did it for them" I murmured, and I knew he knew whom I was talking about.

I did it for Enzo. I did it for Rocco. I did it for Angelo and Gio. I did it for Luca. I did it for Chiara. I did it for Alessandro, my younger brother and my other half. I did it for the siblings that had saved me without even knowing it. I did it for them because they had done it for me. They had waited for me to get them out of that home, and I had finally done it for them.
