I slowly rose from the floor and grabbed my aching head.
Where was i...?
There was a dull concrete floor. A large broken window stood out in front of me. It oversaw some metal rings over a foam pit.
Oh.. I was back at the Statues observation room.
"Hello?"
I looked around. How did I get back here? I rubbed the back of my sore head and winced.
"Did you just knock me out?"
There was no response. My ally (if i could call him that) must've left. I frowned. He couldn't even leave a note?
And yet he wondered why I didn't trust him.
I sighed softly. I was ready to go when some markings on the floor caught my eye.
"TRAITOR!"
It was carved onto the floor. My eyes followed it to see a trail. I gulped at the overlapping and rigid writing. I couldn't tell if it was a message, drawing, or someone had simply scratched at the floors to vent their frustrations.
I was really starting to hate this place. I closed my eyes tight and forced myself to turn around. This was too much to process.
Forget it. I wasn't going to trust random voices anymore. The fact that I had trusted a random voice that seemed to stalk me in the darkness was a red flag in itself. Why was i such an idiot?
I lowered my head before remembering why I was set here in the first place. I had to find Poppy. Yet another cryptic toy i didn't know if I could trust.
But I was the one who freed her. She said she knew about Sam. She could have easily been lying but at this point...What other choice did i have?
"Poppy!"
Muffled yelling rose from a nearby room. Right! I had last seen Mommy holding poppy in the next observation deck.
I peeked my head out and glanced each way. There seemed to be no sign of PJ Pugapillar. I hopped down from the window and began running.
I heard a bark as PJ recognized my intrusion. I didnt know how close he was but I could almost reach the next observation deck with my grab pack. I focused on the bar above the deck knowing I'd have to repeat the steps from before.
I took a deep breath. My instincts were telling me to turn around and look for that caterpillar pug. If I did that, i might just freeze up at the truth.
I shot my grabpack hand out and grabbed the pole as I pulled myself up. I could feel hot air huff at my ankles. I looked down to see PJ whimpering as I was brought just above his reach.
As ugly as that toy was... I was just happy I didn't have to kill him.
I crouched into a ball before I broke into the observation room. Poppy's screams were louder now. I took in my surroundings and quickly spotted a squirming figure wrapped in webs that were attached to the wall.
I cringed slightly. I had to save Poppy, yes, but this was still gross.
My arm shook as I reached out to her. I closed my eyes and looked away as I brushed the webs off her and pulled her free.
"Where's mommy?" She asked
"She's gone... we're safe. Take me to the train to find Sam, please."
She squinted at me. I had to wonder if I was sweating. Who knew how she'd react if i told her I had shredded Mommy alive? I didn't even know if she knew Huggy was dead.
