later dude"Okay, so what are you thinking?" Amanda walked side by side with Taylor into the first jewellery shop of the day.
Taylor wasn't one for malls, let alone shopping but he knew what he wanted for Emmalyn and he wanted it to be as soon as possible. "She wears like this silver stuff doesn't she?"
"I mean the gemstone Taylor," Amanda rolled her eyes, tired and fed up in the first place, "Dude, I'm trying my best here."
"Sorry, sorry," Taylor looked through the glass cases all throughout the shop, trying not to step on Amanda toes anymore than he already had.
"Can I help you two?" A lady came up to the pair as they stalked over the jewellery, both of them looking extremely out of their element so Taylor was relieved that he didn't have to ask.
Sighing with the utmost relief, Taylor almost shouted, "Yes please."
"So you're looking for an engagement ring?" The woman, with a badge that said: Iris, Ring Clerk, questioned before opening up the first glass case of rings.
"Uh, yeah," Taylor sounded uncertain so he looked to Amanda for an approval, and she just nodded. "White gold please."
"Good choice, girl. I already have them out," Iris continued to pull out the velvet cushion which homed probably thousands of dollars worth of metals and gems, which caused Taylor to fall even further into confusion.
"So," Iris selected a couple of the bands and placed them onto the glass, which Taylor started inspecting, "How long have you two been together?"
"Oh no. No, no, no," Taylor held his hands up as though he were surrendering, "We're not- She's not-."
Amanda rolled her eyes at Taylor's nerves and cut off his stutters by answering, "We're not together. I'm sort of a wingwoman, as Emmalyn, this dork's girlfriend is my best friend," She gestured to Taylor who shot her an offended glare.
"O...kay! So what does Emmalyn like? Gemstones?" Iris swiftly tried to move on, avoiding any tension between the two customers.
"She's not one for flash or anything, like she doesn't just wear stuff because it shines," Taylor explained, leaning down onto the transparent countertop to further examine the little rings.
