Chapter 37

-Spencer's POV-
Me and JJ get home around 10:34 pm after picking up the kids, we put them down for bed and we go into our room and watch tv.
"Well the birthday girl needs to get her sleep, you have a very important day tomorrow." I say and kiss her.
"Haha, your remembered! Alright I'll go to sleep, love you." She says and kisses me.
I carefully get out of the bed and go take a shower, by the time get back in bed its 11:07 pm. I decide to watch some Netflix until 12:00. I watch about 2 and a half episodes of
Dr.Who. I look at my phones time 12:02 am. I carefully go downstairs and get a little slice of red velvet cake. I put a candle in it, lite it and go upstairs.
"JJ." I whisper. She rolls some.
"JJ." I say and kiss her, she wakes up. (Hehe sleeping beauty? Well JJ is a beauty! 😍)
"Spence its 12:06 why did you wake me up?" She asks.
"Happy Birthday." I say and pull the slice of cake from behind my back.
"Aww Spence!" She says and kisses me.
"Make a wish." I say. She looks up and blows out the candle.
"What did you wish for?" I ask.
"Nothing. I already have an amazing fiancé who loves me and two kids, one more. on the way. We are the perfect family." She whispers. I kiss her on the nose.
"Can I have the cake?" She asks. I laugh.
"Oh course honeysuckle." I say and she giggles. I hand her the slice of cake and the fork. She leans up some and takes a bite.
"Mmmh red velvet!" She says.
"Umm JJ your lips." I say pointing to the frosting on her lips.
"Oh you should have a taste." She says, kissing me and getting the frosting on my lips.
"Everything about that was delicious." I say grinning. She laughs and playfully hits me with a pillow.
"You wanna watch something?" I ask.
"Nope, this is perfect. Eating cake at 12:00 in the morning with the perfect guy sitting next to me, I don't need any electronics. It'll ruin the moment." She whispers.
"I love you." She whispers before taking the last bite of the slice of cake.
"I love you too." I whisper taking the plate and setting it on my nightstand. She stays leaned into my chest and I play with her hair.
"Spence." She says.
"Yes my love." I say, she blushes.
"I want this moment to last forever." She whispers.
"I do too." I whisper before me and JJ go to sleep snuggling together.
*7:23 am*
"I slowly lean up and set JJ onto a pillow. I check the time 7:23. Perfect. I carefully walk to Henry's room.
"Henry." I ask the sleeping little boy, he slowly wakes up.
"Is it a school day?" He asks checking his dinosaur alarm clock.
"No, you wanna help decorate for mommy's party right?" I ask. He quickly jumps up and nods his head.
"Alright come here." I whisper he walks over to me and I pick him up.
"You have to be quiet." I say before poking his noes and making him giggle. I carry Henry downstairs and my phone goes off.
"We're outside with the decorations pretty boy" Its a text from Morgan. I look out the window and see them.
"Alright you can come in but be quiet." I text back.
The door slowly opens and the team, including Jack comes in with decorations.
"Alright let's split into groups. Rossi and Hotch start making the sausage, bacon, egg and pancake breakfast. Emily and Penelope can you wrap the presents Henry got her and then decorate the lower stuff like the staircase. Morgan do the stronger stuff. I'm going to wrap presents." I say.
"Wow looks like pretty boy is mini Hotch." Morgan says and Hotch grins. Jack and Henry walk up to me.
"What can we do daddy?" Henry asks.
"Well you get the important part, every few minutes check on mommy and make sure she's asleep, in between the minutes you can help Uncle Dave and Aaron or Godmother Penelope and Auntie Emily." I say and the two boys run over to the kitchen smiling.
I walk downstairs into the basement and find the presents I hid in a little attic behind the staircase. I pull out the black and blue short lacy strapless dress JJ has always wanted. (I didn't mean for that to be like The Dress...oops. It's NOT gold and white 😂) The I pull out a necklace box and a little bit bigger box. I rap the bigger box and the dress box but I out the necklace box in my pocket. I bring the presents upstairs and set them on the table with all the other presents.
"Pretty boy wanna help me with this last thing?" Morgan asks.
"Sure what is it?" I ask.
"Get on this ladder and hang up this little chandelier I got you two." He says.
"Aww thanks Morgan but you didn't have to get us anything." I say.
"Just do me a favor and hang up the chandelier before sleeping beauty wakes up." Morgan laughs.
"Alright." I say carefully getting on the ladder and hanging it. After I hang it I fall off the ladder.
"Woah Morgan!" I whisper yell as I fall.
"Woah Pretty Boy!" He says as he catches me.
"Thanks." I say.
"My god what the hell do you eat, your as light as a feather." Morgan says.
"Okay, I get it Morgan." I say as he sets me down.
"Penelope and Emily are you done?" I ask as they wrap the last piece of decoration around the staircase.
"Yes!" They say at the same time as they high five eachother.
"Hotch and Rossi?" I ask.
"Almost." Rossi says.
"Almost?" I ask.
"We are on the plating, you can't rush perfection." Rossi says.
"Alright just set out the plates when you finish." I say.
"Okay mini Hotchner." Rossi smirks and Hotch lightly hits his shoulder.
"Eh eh eh, perfection." Rossi says.
"Oh right sorry." Hotch says.
I walk over to Henry and Jack.
"We are almost done, go see if mommy is still asleep." I say and the boys run off upstairs.
"I'm gonna go grab some of her favorite movies from the basement." I say.
"Okay!" The team replies.
"Ooh Spencer, get Princess Bride." Penelope says smiling.
"Okay Penelope." I say.
I walk down stairs and get some movies, including Princess Bride and then I walk upstairs and set them on the coffee table.
"Did you get Princess Bride?" Penelope asks.
"Of course." I say and she laughs.
"Rossi is the table set?" I ask.
"Yess." He says putting down the last plate.
"Alright go hide." I say and Jack and Henry run down.
"She's still asleep." They say.
"Okay go hide." I say and they smile and run towards Penelope.
I start walking up the stairs and I go into Kaelyn's room. I pick up the awake baby and I carry her in mine and JJ's room.
"Can you say momma?" I whisper to Kaelyn.
"Momba." She says and I smile.
I lean down to JJ.
"JJ." I whisper and she wakes up.
"Hi Spence." She says smiling and puts her arms out for Kaelyn. I hand Kaelyn to her.
"Kaelyn say momma." I say looks at JJ.
"Momba!' She squeals and JJ's laughs.
"Aww!' JJ says smiling.
"Let's go and get breakfast birthday girl." I say and JJ leans up and out of bed. I grab her hand and start taking her downstairs.
"SURPRISE!" The team jumps out and yells.
"AWW GUYS!" JJ says and hands me Kaelyn as she walks to hug the team.
"Bon appetite." Rossi says pulling out a chair for JJ at the table.
"Yum, thanks Rossi!" She says as Rossi gives her a kiss on both cheeks.
I set Kaelyn down in her rocking chair and walk over to have breakfast with the team.
"THIS IS SO GOOD ROSSI!" JJ yells making everyone laugh.
"Momba!" Kaelyn says and the team looks over and "aww" her.
*5:48 pm*
After a few movies we decide it's time for JJ to open presents, we sit her down on the love seat in the living room.
"Who's first?" JJ asks.
"OOH OHH ME AND EMILY!" Penelope yells running over with a small bag.
"Ooh what did Em and Penny get." JJ says smiling.
She opens the bag and pulls out a card with a $350 shopping spree so she can shop wit Emily and Penelope some day.
"Guys I can't take this." JJ says.
"Nope you can." Emily says. Making JJ laugh.
"Open the rest!" Penelope says.
She opens the rest and there's a two matching dresses for JJ and Kaelyn to wear. Then there's two matching sweaters vests for me and Henry.
"AWWWW!" JJ says.
"GO PUT THEM ON!" She says as she gives me one sweater vest and Henry the other. Henry looks up, "I get to match daddy?" He says.
"Yes baby you get to match daddy." JJ says and the boy lights up.
"COME ON DADDY!" He squeals and pulls my hand, I follow him up the stairs and we both change into the red sweater vests and we come downstairs.
"I MATCHING DADDY!" Henry squeals.
"Aww!" The team says and Penelope takes a picture.
"Thanks Pen and Em." JJ says and hugs them.
"Ok umm Hotch next." JJ says.
"Alright you can thank Beth for helping me." Hotch says handing JJ the gift.
She opens it and there's a whole set from Bath and Body Works in the scent A Thousand Wishes.
She immediately smells it. "This is my favorite scent!" She says and she hugs Hotch.
"Thank you! And tell Beth I said thanks!" She says.
"Alright that leaves me and Morgan, and then Spencer. Rossi says handing her the gift that him and Morgan bought her.
She opens it and find a box in it. She opens the box and it has earring with rubies, her birthstone in them.
She puts her hand over her mouth and.
"Oh my god, Morgan, Rossi. There beautiful." She says.
"She's speechless Rossi!" Morgan says and they high five.
"Thank you." She says as the two men walk over and hug her.
"Alright JJ this is from me, Henry, and Kaelyn." I say handing her the big box first.
She opens it and inside is a blanket with her favorite picture of me, her, Kaelyn and Henry sown on it.
"SPENCE!" She squeals and hugs the blanket.
"Thank you.' She says and she picks up Henry.
"Your welcome mommy." Henry says and she kisses him.
"This is from me." I say as I hand her the dress.
"This isn't the dress I want is it?" She says and I grin. She opens the box and inside is the dress.
"Aww Spence!" She says and hugs me.
"Thank you!" She says to everyone.
"There's one more gift." I say.
"Where?" She asks and looks around. I pull the necklace box from my back pocket.
"Here." I say and hand it to her. She opens it and immediately tears up.
"Oh my god Spence." She says as she looks at the necklace with mine, hers, Henry's and Kaelyn's birthstones in it.
"Look on the inside." I say and she flips the necklace.
"I love you, is engraved on the necklace." She says as she starts crying. Soon enough Penelope's eyes start to water.
"Put it on me.' She says as she gives me the necklace.
She turns around and lifts her hair up. I clip the necklace onto her and she smile. She leans her head up and I kiss her.
"AWWWW!" The team smiles.
"I love you." She whispers.
