Ram suddenly spoke, breaking the silence, taking Tripura off guard. “Tripura, are you feeling sleepy?”

She looked at him through the mirror, her brows knitting slightly. “No, Mr. Kapoor. Why do you ask?”

He got up from his side of the bed, walking toward her. “I want to show you around. Can we go out?”

Tripura turned fully toward him, glancing at the wall clock. “At this hour?” she chuckled softly, finding his proposal amusing yet intriguing.

Ram leaned against the vanity, his playful smile lighting up the room. “Arey, night is the best time to explore. Come on; it’ll be fun, I promise. And more importantly…” He straightened, puffing his chest in mock bravado. “…you don’t have to be scared when I’m with you.”

Tripura couldn’t help but laugh at his antics, his charm disarming as always. Though hesitant, she didn’t have the heart to refuse. “Fine, Mr. Kapoor. Let me get changed.”

She quickly changed into a simple yet stylish outfit — jeans, a cozy top, and a leather jacket — while Ram casually donned his casuals, ready to take her on an impromptu adventure.

When she came out, Ram held up the bike keys with a smirk, causing her to arch a brow in surprise.

“You know how to ride a bike?” she asked, a mix of curiosity and amusement in her tone.

Ram stepped closer, closing the distance between them. Without warning, he grabbed her waist, pulling her nearer.
To steady herself, she instinctively placed both hands on his chest, her heart skipping a beat.

His fingers brushed her hair ever so gently, tucking a stray strand behind her ear. His voice dropped to a whisper, rich and warm. “You have no idea what all I know, Mrs. Kapoor.”

He winked, resting his forehead against hers. For a moment, the world outside their little bubble ceased to exist.

They stood there, breathing in each other’s warmth, savoring the quiet intimacy of the moment.

Finally, breaking the silence, Ram stepped back and extended his hand. “Shall we?”
Tripura smiled, nodding as they walked out together.

Outside, Ram revved up his royal Enfield, its deep growl resonating through the quiet night. Tripura’s eyes lit up as she watched him confidently settle onto the bike, exuding an effortless charm.

“Hop on,” he gestured with a smirk.
She slid onto the bike gracefully, placing her hands gently on his shoulders. Ram turned his head slightly. “Comfortable?”

“Yes, Mr. Kapoor,” she assured him with a smile, her voice soft yet firm.

With that, Ram drove off into the quiet streets of Amritsar, the chilly night air brushing past them.

The city was alive in its own way — flickering streetlights, the distant hum of night workers, and the serene stillness of deserted alleyways.

Tripura held on a little tighter as Ram picked up speed, the night breeze tousling her hair. “You’re not scared, are you?” Ram teased over the hum of the bike.

She laughed softly, leaning in slightly. “Not when you’re with me, Mr. Kapoor.”

His heart swelled at her trust, and without replying, he focused on showing her the beauty of Amritsar by night.

----------------------

They stopped at a famous dhaba on the outskirts of the city.

Ram parked the bike and helped Tripura dismount, his hands lingering at her waist for just a moment longer than necessary.

“Hungry?” he asked, his voice light but his gaze intent.

Tripura shook her head. “Not really, but I wouldn’t mind some coffee.”

They settled at a small table under the open sky, the stars twinkling above them. The dhaba owner, recognizing Ram, greeted them warmly and brought over two steaming cups of coffee and tea.

As they sipped the hot beverage, Ram leaned back, his eyes never leaving her face. “Beautiful, isn’t it?” he asked, his tone carrying a double meaning.

Tripura looked around, taking in the serenity of the night and the warmth of the setting. “It is,” she replied, glancing at him from the corner of her eye, knowing exactly what he meant.

Ram chuckled softly, shaking his head. “You’re impossible, Mrs. Kapoor.”

“And you, Mr. Kapoor, are incorrigible,” she quipped, her lips curling into a playful smile.

They spent the next hour sharing stories, laughing, and enjoying each other’s company, the night deepening their connection.
