JJ's P.O.V

I woke up to the sun cracking into my room through the curtains. I turn and look at my alarm clock, It read 9:36am. I figured I might as well get up and make some coffee and go see what Spence is up too.
With my coffee in my hand I'm heading down the long hotel hallway down to Spence's door. Knock, Knock, Knock. No answer. He should be up by now, He usually gets up around 8:00am so maybe he's already at the police station? I go back to my room and grab my keys and get to my car.
As I'm walking into the station I look around and so far only Hotch and Rossi are here. "Has anyone seen Reid?" I ask. "I had to pick him up at the bar last night because he was hammered so I brought him back to his room, He's probably still sleeping but he's going to have a massive hangover" Hotch says. Great. Just what we need is a grumpy Spencer. I figured since nobody was else was in yet I would start working on the profile. I asked the M.E what the victims were intoxicated with before the they died and he told me they had a lethal amount of Dilaudid injected into them. Spencer has had a rough past with Dilaudid. He was kidnapped by a man named Tobias Hankel, a delusional guy who killed people while quoting scriptures of the bible. He wouldnt have been abducted if Spence and I would've stayed together but instead we split up and I almost got eaten to death by a pack of visious dogs. When Spence was kidnapped Tobias gave him Dilaudid for when his father Raphael would hurt him. In the end, Tobias was the guy trying to save Spence.
About and hour later I seen Spence walk through the doors of the police station and he definitely looked hungover. I'm not sure why he decided to drink last night but I'll ask him about that later. As the rest of the team shuffled in we got to work with the profile. "We need to look for high paying jobs where he could be in charge. Dilaudid isn't cheap and this man likes the power so we know he works somewhere he could have it" Derek said. I called Garcia and told her what Derek said. "Honey, You're in California, There's alot of nice jobs around there. You're gonna have to give me more" That's all we've got so I'm gonna have to get something out of Patrick. I made my way into the interrogation room and found Patrick with his head down. "Excuse me Mr. Chambers? I need you to tell me something" I told him. He put his head up and he spoke up. "What is it? I'll tell you anything as long as I can get out of here" He pleaded. "Have you and the man who paid you had any contact?" I asked. I doubt he would want to rat out his partner but its worth a try. "Yes, I spoke to him a few days ago. I've never actually seen his face before though. He wears a mask and always has his hood up. I do know that he does have medical training though, So a junkie doctor is probably selling the Dilaudid to him." I was wrong. He gave me more that expected. "Thank you Mr. Chambers. We will try and get you out of here as soon as possible" I opened the door and Spence was watching through the window. He took a quick look at me and walked out. Was he mad at me? That wouldn't make sense, I didn't do anything. I walked out and Hotch ran over to me with my bulletproof vest in hand and his was on his chest. "We got a 911 call from somebody saying there was a woman being stabbed in an alley four blocks from here" I strapped my vest on in the SUV as we were swerving in between traffic. When we got to our destination, I could hear screaming. I jumped out of the truck and started running. The woman was being stabbed by a man wearing a black sweatshirt with the hood up and a white mask. "Hey! Step away, Drop the knife and put your hands up!" The man started running away in the opposite direction. I chased after him and as he got to the end of the alley he turned the corner and I shot at him. He was atleast twenty feet in front of me. I think I fired three shots at him and two hit him. He fell to ground and I caught up to him. I got close to him and whispered "I hope you suffer, Just like those innocent people had to. They didn't deserve that" I turned around and Spence was behind me. "I just called for an ambulance" He said. The unsub smiled and his body went limp. I didn't even check his pulse. One of the bullets hit him near his spine, So even if the doctors could save him, He will be paralyzed. I could see the medics running down the alley so Spence and I started walking away. We got back to the police station and gathered our things. "The plane should be here in about twenty minutes" Rossi said. I guess I will go talk Spencer before we leave. I found him sitting on the steps outside. I decided to sit next to him "Hey Spence, Will you tell me why you were acting so hostile towards me earlier?" He turned his head, leaned in, and kissed me.
