I shoved the lab gown, goggles, and face mask inside my life size locker. Thanks to Luke's Customize Locker Project. Everyone was able to use their creativity skills in their own lockers. Mine had random white wings on it.
Biology class was over two hours ago, so far, it did not go well. I could not afford looking at the frog that my friend and I dissected without bursting into a puddle of tears. I have this huge fascination for animals. And screw people who uses them for experiments.
It was almost 6 p.m., and while wandering around the nearly empty school hallways, I noticed that the student council room's light was still on. Probably, they were having a meeting.
Out of curiosity, I slowly peaked on the small clear glass window attached to the door. There was Luke, seating on his throne - which happened to be a black spinning chair. He was alone and he was holding a piece of paper in both of his hands, intently staring at it.
I knocked hard three times for him to notice me. When our eyes met, a smile crept on his pale lips. I smiled back. I did not want him to think that I was an emotionless moron.
"I did not mean to interrupt or anything, but what are you still doing here?" I asked, the moment he opened the door, allowing me to come in.
"Let's just say, I prefer being in school that being at home."
It was my first time to hear someone say that. Being in school, for everyone else is just similar to being in underworld. Even Persephone, the wife of Hades did not like it there. So much for Greek Mythology.
Luke crossed his arms as he took a seat on the spinning chair. I sat on the normal plastic chair (which I formerly sat on during our first meeting), facing the current student council president. He did have an aura around him which I kind of just felt. The don't mess with me or else... aura.
"Care to explain why?" I pushed some strands of my hair sidewards. Damn, I needed a new haircut. The full bangs style was irritating. I thought it would make me look like Anastasia in Fifty Shades of Grey. Guess what, it made me look like Dora the Explorer instead. The difference was, my hair was golden brown.
"Why do you ask so many questions?" he rolled his eyes at me. I then noticed that it was color blue - probably close to aquamarine.
"Because, I felt the need to know you more." I honestly admitted. It seemed like he knew some things about me. On the other hand, the only thing that I know about him was - he's a student leader. Other than that, I have no idea.
"You are clueless because you don't pay attention."
Maybe Luke was right. I really don't pay attention to people. Maybe he did say some things about himself during his campaign. But I have to admit, I was not 100% lending my ears. My mind was somewhere else - probably thinking about Nathan Yale.
"Sorry. To be fair with you, I say one thing about myself, and you say one thing about yourself too. And so on. We do it simultaneously, okay?"
Luke Hemmings, as usual, had just smirked at me. It seemed like he's not much of a talker. Why did he even have Take It From Luke as project if he would just keep his mouth shut? I wondered what weird advices did this guy had given to other students.
"I consider that as a yes... so, let me begin." I closed my eyes for a while and tried to come up with what I wanted to tell him about me. Maybe, I should start with the easy and obvious ones.
"I like the color plum." I pursed my lips.
"Wow. I thought you'd say the usual such as red, pink and blue." he was surprisingly interested with what we're doing so I decided to ask him to continue - it was his turn to speak up.
