Luke and I did not talk since then. Whenever I see him walking on the hallway, I would avoid his direction and take the opposite way. I could not afford to even look at him.
Time traveled fast until it was already the day when we're set to travel to Hong Kong. My mother hugged me while we were at the airport, saying that she'll miss me. I instantly blush at embarrassment because the boys, who were with me, were eavesdropping.
"It's not like I'd be gone for a year," I sighed, taking my luggage and placed it on the cart.
"You'd still be gone, and even if it's just for a day, I would still miss you," she began to cry, in front of everyone. I patted her back, hoping she'd stop right away. I hastily felt the urge of running inside to head to the boarding area, but all so sudden, I heard one say, "Don't worry ma'm, we will take good care of her."
The voice was from no other Luke, the man who did not talk to me for a week, and now, had the guts to tell my mother such words.
"Yeah right," I huffed, and turn my attention back to my mom. She did stop crying. As we said farewell, the three of us, including our adviser slash travel mentor, Mrs. Latorena, entered the airport.
The moment we reached the plane, I took all my courage to ask Nathan if could exchange places with him, whispering, "Luke and I are not really in good terms as of the moment."
Nathan shook his head in reply. "I'm sorry Jess but Mr. Arthur said that the safest part of the plane is the middle, and whoever sits in middle, is the least likely to get killed," he said those words as if it was a charmspeak leaving me with no choice but to sit between them.
Once were all seated, Nathan whispered once more, "It's probably the time for you guys to reconcile."
I glanced at Luke who had earphones in his ears. His eyes were at just simply looking straight at the direction of the chair in front of him. What's so novel about the airplane's back of the chair? I thought.
Luke continued to ignore me and even Nathan's existence. If he were to act this way for the rest of our trip, I swear, I wouldn't think twice but do to him exactly what I did to his 'friend' Calum.
I lightly tap Luke's arm to apologize, but he did not respond. I sighed and muttered, "talk is cheap, Luke."
Eventually giving up, I found myself falling asleep. Though nearing to the loss of consciousness, I felt a hand on my face, slowly turning my head to settle on a shoulder. What's worse is that, I had no idea which side did I turn my head, right to where Luke was, or left to where Nathan was -- I guess, the moment I wake up, I'd eventually find out.

The moment my eyes had the ability to see, I first noticed that my face was in Luke's shoulder. I was clearly awake that I'm left-handed, with that, my head should have found Nathan's shoulder first.
Luke still had one hand on my cheek, and I couldn't help but feel the oddity surging through my veins.
I began to nudge his shoulder, which eventually woke him up, and when his deep blue eyes met my hazel brown ones, he grinned.
"You did not talk to me for a week and now you have the guts to allow me to your shoulder as a pillow? You're weird," I fussed, leaning back.
"Action speaks louder than words," Luke backfired.
