The Havoc Marauder emerged out of hyperspace. Omega looked in awe at the floating jungle orb. The inner rim planet was a marvelous sight. As the ship descended into the brush of the habitat, Omega stared in wonder at the plethora of colorful flora. She hoped they would have time to explore for a little bit after the mission so she could ask Tech about the new vegetation.
"So?" Omega asked, tearing her gaze away from the brush, "Where's the market?"
"Malgan Market is in the capital, Iziz," Hunter said, tossing her an empty and old beat up backpack. "We'll be approaching it right about..."
"Whoa," Omega gasped. "Is-Is that a palace!?" The girl ran toward the window, using the strength in her hands to hold herself up as she balanced on the control panel to catch a better glimpse of the sight.
"Careful, Omega," Tech chided. "But, yes. It is a palace. Unifar Temple if you want to be accurate. It is the home of King Dendup."
"Wow," Omega whispered. She had only read about such royalties on the holonet back on Kamino.
"Indeed," Tech agreed. "The structure is rather admirable. You may be able to see the gates when we enter the market."
Omega beamed, turning to the sergeant with her wide grin. "Can we go look at them, Hunter? Please?"
Hunter smiled fondly at her. "After we gather our supplies, I don't see why not?"
Omega cheered, running to the back, most likely to tell the others of their new side quest.
"Rex said for us to land in the jungle just outside the city limits." Hunter pointed in the direction of the supposed deserted rebel base.
The Marauder landed gracefully upon the barely visible landing zone amidst the overgrown jungle. The sun ate at the dim lighting of the ship's hold as the ramp lowered, revealing two awaiting figures by an ancient pillar.
Hunter stood tall, holding a hand out to prevent Omega from rushing out to greet the men.
"Hang tight," Hunter ordered, sending a gentle nod to Crosshair as he stood just out of sight in the shadows.
Hunter, tucking his knife into its sheath, stepped down from the Marauder, closing the space between his squad and the rebels.
Saw's cold stare stayed frozen as he watched the clone approach.
"Sergeant," the man greeted with a sour expression, earning him a jab to his side from the younger man standing next to him. Saw sighed, extending a hand, retrying. "Nice to see you on the right side."
Hunter accepted the gesture. "We'll always fight for what we believe in."
"Hm, took you a while."
"You have no idea–"
"Hey!" The shorter man interjected. "Saw, now is not the time."
"Can it, Bonteri. You don't know what his squad did to mine, to innocent civilians."
Hunter scoffed. "We left after realizing the situation. We don't nor ever did work for the Empire."
"Was that before or after one of your own massacred my squad? I was the one who had to tell brothers, sisters, and parents that part of their family was murdered in cold blood," Saw growled, his eyes full of burning rage. "Where is that brother of yours anyways? Still with the Empire, or did he die carrying out their wishes? He deserves to meet the same fate as—"
"It wasn't his fault!" A new voice beat Hunter's attack. "It was an inhibitor chip. He couldn't control his actions!"
"Omega, I told you to stay on the ship," Hunter pulled her away, shoving her behind him.
