Demons, hell, gods, the boons and the curses we have seen so far but have we truly explored what lies beyond these names?
There are many questions unanswered. If we have to know something then we have to start the research from the beginning and th...
"Do you believe in supernatural things?" Vrushali's question made him look up at her from the documents he is reading sitting on the bed.
"After what I saw yesterday I think yes" Karna replied.
"My family comes from a long line of asuras(demons)" He narrowed his eyes and thought back to the emblem on her outfit which disappeared when he wanted to help her yesterday.
"They are all banished to paatalam and narakam(hell)" Karna stated.
Vrushali nodded "Yes! But millions of years ago they roamed earth freely and laid with humans birthing half human and half demon offspring and one such bloodline was mine. A purest one, a powerful one and no one could ever defeat us but my ancestors made a pact with a Suryavanshi King who helped save our bloodline not caring that we were demons and in return we protect their bloodline".
"Is that the reason you are protecting the sword?" Karna questioned.
Vrushali looked at his reflection in the mirror before her. After last night's incident they returned to the palace by early in the morning and no one suspected a thing but the bodies in the forest spread fear like a wild fire in Banaras and everyone is scared to stay out late in the evenings too.

But Karna, as a responsible King assured that whoever is behind all these will be found and punished. She remained silent throughout everything while he took care of everything outside and returned to her by evening and here she was waiting to tell her story to him in his now their room.
"My father was the last protector of the Suryavnshi bloodline and he couldn't protect the former King and Queen and their baby. They died a tragic death under very mysterious circumstances and later my parents too died in a car crash while they were exporting that sword back to its original place where it belongs. I was with them in the crash but somehow I survived it. Some said it was a miracle, some said I was a bad omen who killed my parents" Vrushali teared up.
Karna stood behind her holding her chin turning her face towards her right before bending down and kissing her lips softly "My parents died too and Rajamata blames me everyday for it but only I and God knows what I actually am going through. It's not guilt or anything it's the way the other people cope with their sadness by putting blame on others. So never ever consider yourself a bad omen or evil because to me you're my world".
A tear rolled down her cheeks making him wipe it away before she turned around and hugged his waist "My life was supposed to end the day before I met you".
Karna frowned "What was that supposed to mean?"
She looked up at him "My fate was only written up to my 23rd birthday. After that the lines in my palm also showed blank to the Raja Guru so everyone was waiting when and how I'll die".
"But you didn't die" Karna seriously stated.
She nodded "I didn't! Instead I found you and since then I was wondering if there was no life for me then how the hell did I end up in your arms, became your wife and now the thought of leaving you is like death to me".
"I don't give a shit about fate or destiny! Once you come to me then you belong to me forever and there is no going back from there. But tell me if the Suryavanshi bloodline died then why the hell are you still protecting that sword?" Karna asked.
She sighed "That sword is not just any ordinary sword it is one of the weapons that God made himself before handing down to great warriors like Lord Rama, Lord Arjuna and Karna".
"There are other weapons like that?" Karna looked at the sword.
"Yes! Every thirty years there is a Mahasabha that is held with the four powerful royal families who are the protectors of those four weapons by their blood and flesh and one of the families was Suryavanshis but unfortunately they are no longer alive so I took their place this year" Vrushali answered.
Karna narrowed his eyes "Why would you take their place if it's their blood line that is connected to the sword?"
Vrushali smiled standing up rounding her arms around his neck "Not bad my husband is a smart listener".
Karna raised his eyebrow naturally rounding his arms around her waist as if they belong there "I am a smart eater too" saying he bent down and sucked on her neck making her moan.
She winced when he bit her and pushed him back with her palm on his chest "Listen to me first".
He pulled her close and pecked her lips "Alright wife continue your story".
"So my asura blood line, we call ourselves Rudramanenis and in every generation one child who's worthy will be the protector of the Suryavanshis and one such protector was a girl child hundreds of years ago. Her name was Shivali Rudramaneni, my great great great great great aunt. She was the protector of the King Kala Bhairava Suryavanshi who eradicated the tax system. She did her job as the chosen one, protecting the King and the sword but what nobody expected was for them to fall in love. Everyone was against their love but according to the tale their love was so strong that it crossed every barrier and that Suryadeva himself blessed them and hence the bloodline continued but with a mix of ours into the Suryavanshis".
"So you are also related to them indirectly" Karna concluded.
She shook her head "No! I don't have any Suryavanshi blood in my veins".
"Because you are a descendant of the Rudramanenis not a mixed bloodline?" Vrushali nodded making Karna frown "Then why the hell did you take their place?"
"Because I was supposed to be the next bloodline merger" Vrushali's words made him tighten his hold on her waist.
Karna's face turned hard "Are you saying you're betrothed to the Suryavanshi Prince?"
"The baby was killed too so I was not just a bad omen but a widow because it's a blood betrothal and I was born to marry the prince" Vrushali answered.
He pinned her against the wall beside the dressed making her gasp "You are a married woman, my wife and I don't give a fuck whoever the hell did all those fucking promises or betrothal shit because you belong to me and only me so if anyone dares to seperate you from me then trust me I'll end them even if it is your so called fucking bloodline or those godly people" and sealed the threat with a kiss.
