::Tyler's POV::
I watched the lit candles carefully as I made my way back to the pool house. It was Kylie's birthday today and I had went to the main house early this morning to make her favorite breakfast: chocolate chip pancakes.
I smirked. "I've outdone myself once again," I murmured to myself just as my foot tripped over the first step and I held my breath seeing the Orange juice slosh around in the glass. I exhaled when I saw that the tray was still intact. Maybe I should push aside my ego going forward..
I made my way into the house and just as I reached our bedroom door, I yelled "HAPPYYYY BIRTHDAY!"
I placed the tray on the nightstand before breaking out into a vicious rap, "You're my Bae and you're number one, Today's the day, you have some fun! I love you and it's true, Everybody knows you're my bew. So today's the day you turn 18, Go head baby and spend this greeeen!" I rapped before throwing countless one hundred dollar bills on the bed and all around the room.
I took a second to catch my breath and in doing so, I realized Kylie still hadn't waken up.
"Okay I know I'm not Nicki Minaj or anything, but I did pretty damn good if I say so myself," I said and still got no response.
I walked closer to the bed and removed the cover to see a kylie-less space.
I leaned over the stand and blew the candles out on top of the pancakes.
"So much for a surprise," walked out of the pool house and to the side of the yard where we park our cars. I stared with furrowed eyebrows as I noticed Kylie's car was missing.
I snapped my head to the side when I heard the trash can being rolled. Levi and I made eye contact with each other for a few seconds before he shifted his eyes to where Kylie's car is usually parked and made his way into the main house.
I headed back into the pool house to take a shower.
::Kylie's POV::
I sat on my knees and placed the bouquet of flowers on my mother's grave.
"I know I haven't been here in a while," I spoke and grazed the headstone with my hand, reading the words off of it in my mind.
"I moved away from home and I knew I said I would never leave him after you died, but he just got worst and worst and I couldn't stay there anymore," I spoke calmly and looked away.
"And so now I live with the Alvaro's," I said with a humorless chuckle before biting my bottom lip and I could feel that lump forming in my throat.
"Everything just fell apart mom," I said and finally broke down. I took a few minutes to get myself together before smiling half-heartedly.
"You'd be so disappointed in me, I'm sorry," I spoke before standing up.
"Do you really think she'd be disappointed in you?" I heard someone ask and my head snapped towards the familiar voice.
I turned back around and wiped the tears from my face once I saw the identity of the visitor.
"What are you doing here Levi?" I asked, trying to hide the pain in my voice.
"Just paying my respects," he said before stepping past me and placing a bouquet of yellow flowers on my mother's grave.
It was quiet until he spoke again.
"You know your mom would be anything but disappointed in you right?" He asked and I shook my head.
"Just stop."
