Short Chapter (Filler)

Star City wasn't always the glamour the media spoke about; but Alan liked the change. Though the hero system was a little like Gotham, he finally felt free from the guilt of his past. Or just enough at least. Of course he missed Scarlet, it was his daughter, but knew the lives they both lead now kept them happy. And the annoyance of Gotham media not understanding their relationship was always another ticking time bomb for him.

The visit to Gotham was a good step forward for him....but.... wouldn't want to do it again any time soon. He did feel bad making his daughter travel for him. But as he got older it became more harder to return to that city.............

Alan Miller was attacked by his son giving him a massive hug just as he came through the door. Work was boring like any other day, but luckily finished earlier enough to spend time with his family. He carried the boy upside down into the living room; lego scattered about with some nurf guns hidden. The smell of Susan's cooking crept into the room that Alan had forgotten how hungry he truly was. Work lunches never satifised him enough compared to her cooking.

This was the life he dreamed off. He always told himself that anytime he came back from work. A nice house, no worries for food, time to play games with his kid. When he first started living this life, he felt guilt of how Scarlet wasn't provided this first from her own father. However.....she did remind her father she was aopted by a millionare by the age of six......... so the guilt of her early years having the diet of porridge and beans on toast warn off.

Joe zoomed to the garden hearing a next door neighbour call his name. Alan only laughed as he began to look at the mail  laid on the table. The particular letter that caught his attention was hand written with a green tint colour. Writing he had never seen before. At first he thought it was one of Susan's many cousins wedding invations of some sorts. However, it was only addressed to him. He took a seat in the living room, the sunlight hitting him from the opened garden door. His fingers played with the envolope before the letter was fully out.

He unfolded the message and it read.

'   I know what you did at the factory Alan Miller.  Read carefully - '

However, Alan couldn't read the rest. His heart pounded as his face grew white. He stuffed the note in his pocket heading up to his room. Ignoring the pleads from his son about playing a game of football with his friend.

The new life of his could only last so long. His past finally caught up to him. And now it was gonna cost him everything he ever worked for..............
