The private jet hummed softly as it cruised through the clouds, the sunlight pouring in through the windows and casting golden streaks across the cabin. Yoko sat by the window, her chin resting on her hand as she watched the horizon. Every so often, she would glance at Faye, seated across from her, lounging with the nonchalance of someone who had mastered the art of detachment.
As always, Faye wore the signature mask, its smooth surface hiding her every expression. It was as much a part of her as the air of mystery she carried, and it irritated Yoko to no end.
"So," Yoko began, breaking the silence, her tone deceptively light, "Kun somehow convinced the director to move the final shoot to Thailand. That's... interesting."
Yoko said that but she knows its not only Kun, the Prince was also included in it, off course being a manager and in power can make all this happen. Yoko really wanted to spend time with the Prince. Faye doesn't want people talk something about Yoko for her sudden trip to Thailand which she had never done even though she has fans in Thailand.
Faye leaned back in her seat, her voice smooth as silk. "It's not that interesting. Thailand has better scenery. More authentic. You know, things your dynasty could only dream of replicating."
Yoko arched an elegant brow, her lips curving into a sly smile. "Oh, I see. Authenticity. Because when I think 'authentic,' I definitely think of a masked royal who won't even show his face in his own country."
Faye's eyes narrowed behind the mask, her posture remaining relaxed. "It's called subtlety, Princess. Something your family seems to have misplaced over the centuries."
"Subtlety," Yoko echoed, feigning deep thought. "Is that what you call pretending not to exist? I thought it was just a fancy way of hiding."
Charlotte, seated a few rows back with Freen, glanced up from her tablet. "Are they always like this?" she asked, her voice low but curious.
Freen, seated in her usual protective stance beside Faye, didn't even look up from her book. "Yes."
"Do they ever stop?"
Freen smirked faintly, flipping a page. "Only when one of them falls asleep."
Meanwhile, Yoko leaned forward, her gaze fixed on Faye. "You know, for someone who talks about subtlety, you sure have a knack for being dramatic. The mask? The mysterious aura? It's like a bad drama."
Faye tilted her head, her voice dripping with mock politeness. "Better a bad drama than a predictable soap opera. Which, let's face it, Princess, is exactly what your life is."
Yoko gasped, placing a hand over her heart in mock offense. "Coming from the one who's so theatrical he'd wear a mask to breakfast."
Faye shrugged, unfazed. "It's not my fault you're so easily distracted. Maybe you'd focus better if I wore two masks."
Yoko leaned back with a laugh, shaking her head. "Oh, you wish. If I were distracted, it'd only be because you're trying so hard to be mysterious. It's almost cute."
Faye's shoulders stiffened slightly, but her voice remained calm. "Careful, Princess. Flattery will get you nowhere."
"Who said I was flattering you?" Yoko shot back, her smile bright but her tone sharp.
Charlotte shifted slightly, glancing at Freen again. "Should we stop them?"
Freen shook her head, finally closing her book. "Why? They'd only find a new way to argue."
Yoko suddenly stood, moving closer to Faye, her expression playful yet challenging. "You know what? I think you're scared of Thailand."
Faye tilted her head, her mask gleaming in the sunlight. "Scared? Of my own country?"
