Did you forget about your sweetheart's birthday? Do I need to remind you, huh? 🤨

Faye chuckled at the message from Ize, then got up from her bed to respond, letting Ize know she was on her way to meet her. She also received smiley emojis from Lingling, View, and Orm, who all teased her playfully. Their messages felt like they were celebrating her own birthday, which added to the light-hearted teasing.

Among the texts was a video that had gone viral, leaving Faye embarrassed.

The airport was a whirlwind of activity, buzzing with travelers and media alike. Faye, expertly concealed behind a mask, maneuvered through the crowd like a covert operative, her camera at the ready for the perfect shot of Yoko. She had set up her covert surveillance among the media, her lens poised like a sniper waiting for the ideal moment.

But when Yoko finally made her grand entrance, Faye was struck dumb. Yoko's presence was so dazzling that it was as if she had stepped out of a fantasy. Her elegance and beauty were so overwhelming that Faye was paralyzed, her camera hanging limply by her side. Her heart raced, and she could feel her cheeks burning beneath her mask—although to be fair, it felt like her whole face was a tomato.

Yoko's gaze suddenly locked onto Faye, intensifying the surreal encounter. Faye, feeling like a deer caught in headlights, stood there frozen, unable to move or even remember how to breathe properly. The world around her seemed to blur into a soft-focus haze as Yoko's eyes held her captive. It was as if time had stopped, and Faye's brain had decided to take a holiday.

Just when Faye thought she might pass out from sheer adoration, Yoko's eyes drifted away, and she continued walking. Faye, now more flustered than a cat in a bathtub, was left standing there, feeling like she had just been hit by a love-struck freight train.

As if things couldn't get any worse, the entire episode was captured on video and went viral as a "real-time C-Drama moment." Faye's friends were relentless, bombarding her with messages and memes. "Did you just have a meltdown over your crush?" Orm texted, complete with an eye-roll emoji.

Faye sighed deeply, her dignity in tatters, and made a beeline for the shower, hoping that the hot water could somehow wash away both her embarrassment and the awkwardness of being the internet's latest viral sensation.

After that, Faye left for China to attend Yoko's birthday event.

Upon arriving, Faye couldn't help but smile at the largest poster of Yoko displayed for her birthday celebration. Ironically, it was the very photo Faye had taken that went viral. "She's such a goddess," Faye murmured to herself, hands stuffed in her hoodie pockets. She stood there for a moment, admiring the poster, before heading to Ize's apartment to get dressed for the event.

The birthday party was a grand affair. Thanks to Charlotte, Ize and Faye managed to slip into the mansion without much fuss. Faye, still wearing her mask, blended into the crowd easily, avoiding unnecessary attention.

As she scanned the room, her eyes landed on Yoko. Faye's heart fluttered, and she couldn't help but smile softly. She longed to be closer to Yoko, to share in her joy like the others, but she kept her distance, watching as Su-Ho and Yoko exchanged blushing glances.

Yoko has no idea I exist, yet here she is, so close to him, Faye thought, shaking her head with a wistful smile. Her thoughts were interrupted when Charlotte recognized her. Charlotte was about to call out to Faye but was conveniently distracted by a tray of sweets, thanks to Ize's perfect timing.
