- Now, I am. But we're clearly not on the same page. So, what's your decision? - I ask and notice Y/n's back here and looking at us. Alison is quiet, also just looking. I hug Y/n before asking Dalton one last time. - I'm not asking you again, what is your decision Dalton? Alison's going to therapy, or you're getting outta this house?
Ariana's pov
- Answer me. Give me an answer! - I almost yell at Dalton. I can feel both Alison and Y/n are uncomfortable so I told them to leave. Now it's just me and Dalton. He sits down and sighs.
- Ariana, therapy at this age?
- Dalton there are five year olds that go to therapy Alison is eleven. Yes at this age!
- We can give it a try I guess...
- No. - I say and sit down next to him. - You know she doesn't wanna go, but it's not give it a try. She's going, and no matter what she says, she'll keep going.
- Fine. - He says and I touch his arm, giving him a comforting smile. - But Ari, you were really gonna send me away as if I mean nothing to you? If I didn't agree with that?
- I'm sorry but yes. I do love you Dalton it's just... I also love my kids.
- I understand, I guess...
- Dalton I need your help. Alison, she's not getting away when she does something wrong anymore. And Y/n, she's not getting punished for something she didn't do.
- I agree, but Ariana how many times I've tried to stop you from hurting Y/n? I mean, I didn't go to extremes but I would yes tell you not to be too hard on her.
- I know and I'm sorry I never listened. But I don't wanna be stuck in the past. Let's move forward and do our best to make things aright okay? - I ask and he nods.
- Oh, while you and Y/n were traveling her dance teacher called me. I didn't say anything cause she wants the answer this week but, is Y/n competing at the next competition?
- Yes she is.
- You're not even gonna ask her? - He frowns and I frown back. What is he thinking?
- No. I'm gonna let her know. She committed to dancing, she committed to be a part of the team. She's going. Plus I wanna see her dancing. Tomorrow she'll already go back to her dance classes and she's really excited. - I say smiling. - I'll talk to her teacher don't worry. Now I gotta go talk to the girls. Both of them were awake while we were sleeping. - I mutter, a little bit angry as I remember it.
- Alright well, you wanna deal with Y/n I deal with Alison?
- Yes. One week no electronics.
- Isn't that too much?
- Fine, 5 days. - I say and he chuckles.
- Alright. Let's go. - He says and I go to find Y/n in her bedroom.
Y/n's pov
I sigh when my mom comes in. I know why she's here, she's mad Alison and I didn't sleep properly.
- What's my punishment? - I ask directly as she closes the door.
- You mean what's yours and Alison's punishment. You both did the same wrong thing. 5 days no electronics. Give me all of them. - She says and I sigh (smirking in my head tho) getting up and giving her everything. I won't really mind, I don't need them I can dance, now Alison? She barely plays her piano. She's all day on her phone or iPad. She's gonna freak out.
- What the heck? - Mom says opening the door and I laugh seeing Alison crying begging dad not to take her stuff, and dad struggling to get everything cause Alison's always jumping in front of him trying to stop him. - Y/n, she's still your sister.
- She doesn't act like one. - I say and for a minute I thought I'd get spanked. If looks could kill I'd be already dead. - It's true tho mom! You can't be mad at me because I just said the truth!
- Look, y'all better start acting like sisters, cause I can't put up with this nonsense anymore. - Mom says pointing her finger at me and Alison.
- Well say this to that girl! - I exclaim pointing to Alison. - Cause she's the one who always hated me for NO REASON!
No one's pov
- Okay you don't yell at me! - Ariana and Dalton both yelled at the same time. Dalton to Alison and Ariana to Y/n. Ariana and Dalton stare at each other. Ariana sighs and goes downstairs, kind of feeling defeated. Will they ever gonna act like a family?
- Ariana! - Dalton calls her but she just ignores him. Dalton sighs and looks at both girls. - It's 7 days now. - He says to both girls grabbing Alison's stuff and Y/n's stuff that Ariana left on Y/n's bed, then he goes to his and Ari's bedroom.
Y/n's pov
- It's all your fault. - Alison says and I just chuckle. She's so annoying I can't stand her. - You think this situation is funny?
- No I do not think this situation is funny. You just look like a clown. - I say and go downstairs to see mom. - Mom? Mama?
- Here baby. - Mom calls me from the studio and I go to her.
- I'm sorry mommy. - I say and mom makes me sit on her lap.
- Never act like that again okay? You're a sweet girl, don't change because of what's happening. - Mom says and I nod. I guess I did change a little, but not for the better and I don't wanna make my mom sad. Alison's doing that enough. Now I just wonder how her first therapy session will be. I feel bad for her therapist. I really do.
Three days later
It's Wednesday. Alison and I went back to class and to our other activities on Monday. Today is a big day. Alison's finally going to her first therapy session. I wish I could go and wait with dad cause, man, I'm sure it's gonna be funny (in my pov), but I have dance. I'm really happy cause my mom is now coming with me. She came Monday, she came yesterday, and she's coming today too! Usually she never comes and, all the other girls have their mothers there except me, so, I'm really happy this week.
- Alright you have, your first class is tap today? - Mom asks confused.
- No, it's hip hop mom. - I say and she nods.
- Then it's your solo rehearsal?
- No mom, group first and then duets and trios, and then they start with solos. - I say and I notice mom looks sad. Every other mom knows the schedules, but that's because they've always been there. - Mom, it's fine. Soon you'll know the schedule. It's just cause, you never really stayed to watch unless it was like, competition week.
- That's the problem. - She sighs looking down after she parked the car. - I failed you. I always watched Alison's piano lessons and she doesn't even take it seriously. I'd be on my phone all the time cause, she wouldn't even play that much. Now watching you girls dance is just awesome. I actually enjoy it, you all work so hard.
- Alison will work hard on whatever she likes one day. - I say and mom nods. - She just really needs a lot of therapy first. - I say and jump out of the car, avoiding a slap or something.
Alison's pov
Dad is taking me to therapy today. As if I need it! Y/n's the one who should be in therapy she's such a crybaby.
- Dad, I don't need therapy. Can't we just have some dad daughter fun day? - I ask in my most angelic voice. Dad's easy to manipulate.
- Sorry, we can't. I don't want your mother killing me, and, we're already here. Let's go kiddo. - He says and I huff, we walk inside the building. - Her name is Claudia, she's really nice.
- Alison? - A woman comes outside her office and calls for me. I stand up and she motions for me to follow her which I do. We both sit down and I start thinking what should I tell her.
- Okay so, tell me your feelings Alison. - She asks me. What a dumb question, it's gonna be so easy to trick her.
- Well, my mom doesn't really pay attention to me, and my sister hates me... My dad is the only one who cares a little about me. - I say and start tearing up. As if. I'm laughing inside. - My grandma doesn't like me. Her and my mom are too attached to Y/n, who's my mom's first born so maybe it's understandable. And Y/n's dad is not the same as mine, her dad died, so my dad doesn't have that deep connection with her. But he's really the only one who I feel cares about me, but he's not around much. Now he is, more often, but his work takes a lot of his time. I think I feel lonely and, excluded. Mom also say so many mean things to me sometimes, and if I do something wrong, the smallest thing, she's really mean to me. And when Y/n does something wrong, Y/n always blames me and mom believes her. - I finish, kind of crying idk how. Probably crying out of anger. I can't read this woman's expression though. Does she believe me? Or does she know all I said is crap? She sighs before speaking.
- Must be really hard Alison, I'm sorry you feel that way. - She says, but no emotions. Well, at least I know I'm tricking her, and that's what I need.
Sooooo, Alison's going to therapy... 🤷♀️
