Boruto hadn't seen Seiren for over two days since their brief conversation in front of the administration building that night. The memory of Sasuke's cold, piercing stare as Seiren bid him goodbye and gently pulled her father away sent a shiver down his spine.

Would she even be able to participate? The question gnawed at him, fueling his unease.

He had considered asking Sasuke directly but quickly dismissed the idea—he valued his life too much to risk it. The mere thought of uttering Seiren's name in front of her father felt like asking for a swift end. Instead, he poured his energy into training, hoping it might distract him from his worries.

Mastering the Rasengan, a task Sasuke had set before him, was proving far more difficult than he'd anticipated. It demanded patience, focus, and, once again, more patience—qualities Boruto was beginning to think he lacked.

Finally, after countless attempts, he managed to form a small, unimpressive orb of chakra. Frustration boiled over, and without bothering to listen to Sasuke's feedback, he stormed off, leaving the training ground in a haze of exasperation.

From the shadows, Sarada had watched the entire scene unfold. As Boruto disappeared into the dense forest, she stepped forward, her expression a mix of concern and curiosity. "You're always so strict, Dad," she huffed softly, crossing her arms.

Sasuke's gaze remained fixed on the direction Boruto had fled, his face unreadable.

"You don't know Boruto well, so I'll tell you," Sarada continued, her eyes following the forest path. Months of working together had forged an unexpected bond, though she wouldn't admit it out loud. Boruto's determination and skills complemented Seiren's perfectly—it was hard to ignore how well they worked as a team.

"He's usually not like this," she murmured. "It's a miracle he's made it this far."

Sasuke finally broke his silence, his voice steady but firm. "You're both jumping to conclusions," he said, cutting her off. "I didn't say no."

Sarada blinked, her eyes lighting up with surprise and excitement. "You were going to accept him as your student?"

Sasuke glanced at her briefly. "That doesn't mean he gets a free pass if he and your sister have... something."

Sarada laughed at his stern tone, but their conversation was interrupted by a soft rustling behind them. They turned to see Seiren landing gracefully on the ground, her wavy pink hair catching the light of the sun. She pushed a loose strand behind her ear and smiled at them, her hands cradling a delicate bouquet of white and purple flowers.

"What's got you both so amused?" she asked, tilting her head slightly in curiosity.

"Nothing in particular," Sarada replied with a smirk, her eyes flicking to the bouquet. "Who's that for?"

Seiren followed her twin's gaze, her smile softening. "For the forest," she said simply.

Sarada frowned, her brow furrowing. "Why?"

Without a word, Seiren walked past her, her movements deliberate yet graceful. She knelt before a moss-covered tombstone, its surface weathered but still carrying the faint emblem of the Uchiha clan. Carefully, she placed the bouquet at its base, her fingers brushing the cool stone as if paying silent respect.
