Untitled Part 27

~ Towards End Of Day 26 ~ December 3 ~

I suddenly get a notification on my phone, and struggle to pull my phone from my pocket. After struggling for a few moments, I see the text was from Alice. I opened the text to see that they sent me a time and place. They wanted me to go to the cafe in about 15 minutes. I didn't think I could make it in time, but I didn't think they would mind if I was a little bit late.

I sent a text back.

Claire's text message: Alright sounds good. I might be a tad bit late however, so don't get mad if I am.

Alice replied not long after saying: Alright! Sounds good!

So I started heading towards the cafe. While I was walking I saw Melody walking in the same direction as me so I ran up to her and started talking while we were walking.

Claire: Hi Melody!

Melody: Hi Claire..

Claire: It's been awhile, I think the last time we saw each other it was at the trampoline park. How'd that go?

Melody: About as well as you'd expect it to go with someone who doesn't like heights...

Claire: Oh...uh well where are you going now?

Melody: Just walking around...I don't have much else to do...

Claire: Oh, Alright!

After a while of talking to Melody while walking I finally got to the cafe, I said bye to Melody and glanced over to Alice who was at the front of the cafe. She was in a polychromatic (Multi-colored) and short dress, the same one that Amethyst and I made when I met with her

Claire: Alice! I see you're wearing the dress that I made.

My gaze goes up and down trying to take in how they look with dress on. My cheeks turned slightly pink from me seeing Alice in the dress that I had made. My mind started to run with different thoughts of how they would look with different clothes that I could make with Amethyst.

Alice: Yes, I really enjoy the design that you and Amethyst came up with. It seems to fit pretty well, but was it intended to be a little shorter than normal?

I watch as she twists her hair in her hand and places it back behind her ear. I found the action surprisingly attractive, and ended up sitting down after that.

Claire: Well I'm glad that you enjoy the dress we made, and yes the dress is supposed to be a little shorter than most. It's designed as a summer dress.

Alice seemed to take the compliment quite well, and I could tell she was blushing, but she had inevitably looked away in embarrassment.

Alice: T-Thanks. (She said stuttering)

A waitress walked up to us at our window seat, and simply asked for our order.

Waitress/Waiter: What can I get for you two lovely people?

Her voice was upbeat, and I could tell that she was taking her job seriously. She had a smile on her face, and was acting really nice.

Claire: Could we just start with some drinks for the moment? I don't know if we're exactly ready to order food yet.

Alice nods in agreement, but stays quiet, slightly shy of being around the waiter/waitress.

Waiter/waitress: Of course, what could I get for you two?

Claire: Could I just get a sweet iced tea with a lemon?

The waitress/waiter nods and writes down my order.
