~ Start Of Day 19 ~ November 26 ~
I woke up around 10:00AM...I only got around five hours of sleep. I would be tired no matter what but the less sleep just made it worse. I walked out of my room and saw Alice sitting in the dining room like normal.
Claire: Hi Alice...!
Alice: Hi...You ok? You look tired...
Claire: I'm fine...Just didn't sleep much last night.
Alice: Oh alright...!
Suddenly I heard a voice, it sounded like it was coming from Gray and Magenta's apartment.
???: Lets just keep swimming! Let's just keep swimming! Let's just keep swimming! Oh look, it's the human! Oh food!
Claire: The fuck-...?
Alice: You good...?
Claire: Do you hear the voice just saying "Let's just keep swimming" in a song form without it even sounding good...?
Alice: Oh! That's just the axolotl...!
Claire: The...Axolotl...?
Alice: Yeah it doesn't have a name yet but it's Gray and Magenta's axolotl...! You'll get used to it...
Claire: You said this same thing about me getting used to Maddie...and yet...I'm still not used to her...
Alice: You learn to just zone the animals out...
Claire: Ok...wait-...there's more...?
Alice: Yeah...You'll get used to it...
Claire: Ok...
I walk out of my apartment to see Alex with her fox, Rena. I wave to her, walk down the stairs and go over to her.
Claire: Hi Alex!
Alex: Hi Claire...
???: Fucking hell why her...why couldnt we run into Melody...
Claire: Hm?
Alex: Shut up Rena...
The realization hits me.
Claire: Did...that fox just talk...?
Alex: Oh you could hear them too...?
Claire: Yeah...
Alex: Oh I'm so sorry about them! They're not the best with new people...or old people...or any people...! Except one...
Rena: I miss Melody...
Alex: We'll see her soon shut up!...
Rena: Fuck off!
Alex: Nope!
Rena: Bitch...
Alex sighs. I decide to walk away from them and walk back towards the apartments. I walked back up the stairs and into my apartment, Alice was still sitting in the dining room.
Claire: Just talked to Alex and...her fox...
Alice: Oh...yeah that fox doesn't like people very much...they only really like melody...they just tolerate Alex...
Claire: Yeah...I could tell...
I decided I wanted to go back to the beach for a bit so I said bye to Alice and left the apartment. When I got there I saw E.C. and C. sitting on the sand.
Claire: Hi guys!
E.C.: Hi...
C.: Hi Claire!...
Claire: What are you two doing?
E.C.: Just sitting here...watching the waves in the water go by...
Claire: That's nice! Mind if I join you guys?
C.: I don't mind...
E.C.: Go ahead...
I sat down next to them. We sat there for a few hours watching the waves and talking a bit. Then I decided to start heading back to the apartments. On the way there I talked to I.D. and I.C. for a bit, they were walking to the trampoline park because they had nothing else to really do today. I walked past them and towards the apartments. When I got to the apartments I saw Kate and Rosabel walking towards the library that was near the apartments.
Kate: Come on Iris. Hurry up!
Rosabel: Stop calling me Iris...please...
Kate: I can call you whatever I want to, you're my daughter. Iris is the name you were given, it's the name I'm calling you.
Rosabel: Ok mother...
Rosabel looks down at the ground, clearly upset. I walk over to them and stand in between Kate and Rosabel. I looked at Kate, a bit angry at what I just heard.
Claire: Why do you think it's ok to call her the wrong name?! If she wants to be called Rosabel then call her Rosabel!
Kate: What did you just say...?
Claire: You heard me.
Rosabel: Leave it alone...
Claire: I'm not just gonna leave it alone!
Kate: Hmph...
Rosabel: Claire please...it's ok...!
Claire: No it's not!
Kate: Claire, I'd suggest you listen to your friend there.
Rosabel goes quiet.
Claire: Fine...But this isn't over...you shouldn't be calling your own kid the wrong name...
Kate: I do what I want.
Rosabel: Claire...Just leave...!
Claire: You sure you want me to leave Rosabel...?
Rosabel: Yeah...please go...!
I sigh and walk away from Rosabel and Kate. I wonder what Alice is doing... I walked into the apartment to see Alice sitting down at the dining room on her phone.
Claire: Hey Alice!
Alice: Hi Claire...!
She looks at me and smiles. I smile back.
Claire: What are you doing?
Claire: Just...watching videos...
Claire: Alright!
I walk into my room and go into the closet, grabbing the purple box from it. I sit on my bed just holding the box, looking down at it. I wonder when I should give it to her...
