Violet's Birthday!

~ Start Of Day 20 ~ November 27 ~

I woke up around 11:55AM and saw I had a text message from Violet. It just asked me if I wanted to hang out with her, E.C., I.C., I.D., C. and Clover at the park. I responded saying sure. I got out of bed, walked outside, down the stairs and over to the park. Where I saw E.C., C. and Violet there. I guess the others didn't show up yet. Violet ran up to me and smiled.

Violet: Hi Claire!

Claire: Hi Violet, you seem happy today-

E.C.: Well it is her birthday today.

Claire: It is?

Violet: Yup!

Claire: Oh, I didn't know that...if I did I would've bought a present for you...!

Violet: That's ok! It's just nice that you're here! Besides, we weren't really planning to do the whole present thing this year! I'd rather just hang out with my friends...!

Claire: Oh! Ok! So, what do you wanna do?

Violet smiles at me. We talked for a while then started to run around the park a bit, chasing each other around. While we were running we saw Clover near the entrance of the park. Violet ran over to Clover and tackle hugged her, smiling.

Violet: HI CLOVER!

Clover blushed a bit and smiled at Violet.

Clover: H-Hi Violet! Hm? Oh...I didn't know Claire would be here...I thought I'd just be me, you, E.C., C., I.C. and I.D....

Violet: Well it was just going to be that but I decided to invite Claire since they are still new to the city and I wanted to hang out with them more! Is that an issue Clover...?

Violet gently grabs Clover's hand, holding it for a while with Clover silent. I couldn't really tell but I think Clover started blushing even more than before.

Clover: N-No! It's not a problem at all!

We spent time in the park for a while, Clover was glaring at me a lot...I.D., I.C. and C. arrived at some point as well to hang out for a bit. We hung out for a few hours and eventually I.C. and I.D. had to leave, C., Clover and E.C. stayed for a bit longer with me and Violet. More Hours passed and C. went home as well. Leaving me, E.C., Violet and Clover there.

It was getting late, I kind of was starting to wonder why Clover was here alone, they are only 11...they shouldn't be out alone that much...plus where were their parents when we first met as well...when they were on the chandelier...?

We sat down for a bit, talking and I decided to ask Clover about it...

Claire: Hey...uh...Clover, can I ask you something...?

Clover: Sure!

Claire: Why are...

I tried to choose my words carefully but I couldn't find a good way to put it...

Claire: Why are your parents never around you...? Like when you were on the chandelier of the cat cafe or like right now at the park...

Clover goes silent, I can see tears forming in her eyes.

Clover: Well...I never knew my father...All I know about him is that he was abusive and wanted me dead...and my mother...? She couldn't care less about what I do...she's mostly always more concerned about my younger brother...not me...she barely even talks to me...

Clover looks up at the sky, I can tell she's holding back tears. Violet hugs Clover tightly and Clover blushes again.

Violet: It's ok Clover...

Clover: I'm fine Violet...you don't need to hug me...!

Violet: You sure...?

Clover: Yeah...!

Violet: Alright...

I decided to leave them alone for a bit so I went back to my apartment. I opened the door to see Alice in the kitchen making herself some food. I walked into my room, laid on the bed and fell asleep thinking about what happened at the park.
